I am a feminist. I am a staunch advocate of gay rights. I am all for dudes wearing dresses to school and all other examples of blatant rebellion against tired gender roles.

And yet I still have a hard time walking through the "girl aisle" of the toy section.

I can only assume it takes me back to my insecure/stupid/homophobic '80s childhood or something.

That said, I'd totally display a Crystal Castle.

Does anyone display their Skeletor with the cape from Keldor? I picked up a second Keldor to do just this.

I have an extra Skeletor displayed with Keldor's cape. The purple doesn't match up 100% but I like how he looks with it. At present he's taking She-Ra 2.0's fist to the jaw. Now that she can actually use her legs, I can do something with her.

The big guy in all pictures in the background is indeed JEAN-CLAUDE VAN DAMME. As for the pic. in the middle, it's JCVD & He-Man (the live version)

Dolph Lundgren.

It annoys me a lil' bit that Skeletor's neck is uncovered. So, perhaps, if one day I can find a used Keldor figure on eBay or elsewhere with good price...I'd buy it just to give the evil lord of destruction Keldor's cape. That'd be cool!

Here is the beginning of my new set-up in my new room. These were taken before Swift Wind and BP She-Ra arrived but they show the full set-up area I'm working with.

I got two Palace Guards during the Black Friday sale.

I already had four guards, decked out the way they came.

I did not have one set on MOC until the sale.

The other set I used Flip Shot and Bow's extra heads on them. Gave them some weapons from the 200X Castle Grayskull and a rifle from an extra Capt. Glenn.

Think they turned out neat as Prince Adam's Special Body Guards!

Well if you're like me, you might have thought the original She-Ra was obsolete after opening up 2.0 and giving her all the 1.0 goodies.

Well I went ahead and cut slits on She-Ra 1.0's skirt along the seams, since she's now obsolete and worth the risk. It works! She can do the splits and sit down. The material is still a little too stiff, so 2.0 still wins, but for those that don't want a second one, but are stuck with Swift Wind, the mod works.

The 1.0 heads are still a nightmare to get on either body, so it's nice to have two She-Ras available when wanting to switch looks.

Hey gang,

Quick question, and I didn't know where else to put this--thought this might be an appropriate spot. Does anyone know what the blue putty stuff is called that they use at SDCC to keep the figures in my display standing? I'm thinking about using it with some of my figures but don't know exactly what the stuff is called (or if it damages the figures).

I have not been to any of the conventions but I'm pretty sure it is Blutak. You probably can use any of the poster tack available on the market.

Hello,
after a very looong time I took my brush, dremel, green stuff, oil paints and made some changes to Leech, so here are some pcs I took today with the phone.
When I saw this figure the first time I hated the 4 hrsemen for what they did (suction cups mainly), but then it grew on me and I tought that with some minor improvements it could come out pretty well. All the figures portrayed here are customized, Millennium Falcon included. More pics in my galleries:

excellent work on leech's hand: that's a great improvement.

really like the paint job and black washes on the others, too.

I think every figure there i see looks better then the originals, those Leech hands are super cool.
