I can understand why people prefer his tougher looking 200X face but I love his cute 80s look. I guess its nostalgia but I like the filmation version more than the 200X attitude Buzzy.

Meh on Buzz-Off. The body and the axes are cool, but the head sculpt is as lame and moronic as ever. That over sized helmet also doesn't help in the noggin department either.
Fictional characters are just that. Fictional. They have no personality or free will of their own.
Writers and editors mold them to their own wants and needs.
All we as the audience and fans can do is pick and choose our favorite interpretation and ignore the rest.

I really hate the techno wings on Buzz Off.
Beautiful photography as usual Johnny!!

Treat your customers with respect, NO MORE PAINTED BLACK PLASTIC MATTEL!!
Why don't you like Buzz-Off's wings? He has the same wings he did in the vintage toy.

I don't know what figure you guys are seeing, and I mean everybody that seems to hate him, not just you Slo-Man, but I think Buzz Off is awesome!!
He's one of my favorites in the line so far. The ENTIRE line. I love his face, love the wings... He's Buzz Off!! And to me he's perfect!!
I personally don't see what was so great about the 200X version... at all really. Never liked that interpretation, they turned into a giant bug... instead of ****ing Buzz Off!!!

I just have to say, again, Buzz-Off LOOKS great. I really like him. I liked the 200X version a lot... I thought they did some cool things with him, and it might have been cool to see the helmet in the MOTUC one be a bit more rough / detailed like the 200X helmet... and maybe more of a marriage of the tech-wings from the vintage toy and the bio-wings from 200X, but they did include the little legs...
I like the smile on the face. I think it's cool
I also have to say that I am glad his claws are NOT articulated. At first, I thought, "Oh how cheap," but then I thought about it:
How many of us would end up with loose-clawed Buzz-Off if the claws were articulated??
A Want List of Sorts:
Rokkon, Stonedar, Nepthu, Plundor, Sea Hawk, Strong-Arm, Dactys, Horde Troopers, Storm, Geldor, Modulok, Battle Ram, Kowl, Loo-Kee, Hydron, Glimmer, Eldor, Two Bad, Ninjor, Rio Blast, Mermista, Entrapta, Sweet Bee, Peekablue, Flutterina, Gorpo, Flogg, Crimson Fury, Songster, Lodar, Kex Queen, Goat Man, Darius, Uncle Montork, Dree-Elle
Buzz-Off looks GREAT! (Sure I would like to have the classicized 200X-inspired head too, but OK, hopefully we will get it later in the line somehow.)
I like his back and wings - in Tokyonever's pictures it looks like it is made of bee-wax. I like it a lot!![]()
Im a lot more sold on BO now, but the Axe is not comin anywhere near my collection, I'll stick with the staff/long axe.
I thought MOTUC was about doing away with the silly 80's necessities like the loop on the small axes handle! Yuck!
I may just be a Gay Pop fan...but I am also the one who wants ALL of the Figures, who wants this line to continue and who is putting my money where my mouth is....are you doing the same?
THE LINK BELOW IS THE TIME THE NEXT MOTUC FIGURE GO'S ON SALE!

I'm indifferent to Buzz-Off. It's a good figure, but leaving me cold. Maybe that's because I never found much play value in the vintage figure while totally loving the 200X design. Or maybe it's because we've seen him in every single MotU toyline already while I'm more eager for guys like Dragstor who we didn't see for ages.
"Why's Dragstor riding on Night Stalker?" "Cause he can."
joseephus definitely has the right idea there!!![]()

Toyguru, read this: The Rebellion needs Glimmer!! I NEED Glimmer!! Pretty Please?
I must say, Buzz does look pretty good in those shots, much more so than (once again) the SDCC shots of him.
He still could have been a little better, imo, but I can't really complain about much. Those wings actually look really good.
Yup! Just to look a bit more like his 200X version... What started as a simple paint job on the torso ended up with repainting Everything except the loincloth, hands, head and shinguards.)
(I also repainted the Havok Staff on Skeletor to look more Filmationlike. The Weapons pak Beastman armor was repainted to look more 200X. I added a cape for Evil Lyn.)

Those are some cool modifications. I'd love to see more pics of the dio and your Whiplash repaint.
