How many 8-backs do you have?

Nice! That's the first '1st Edition' Man-At-Arms that I've seen MOC. Congrats! I like the extra detail that some of the first releases had (Man-At-Arms red dots and Skeletor purple trunks/orange face paint).

Just pure AWESOME Suckator, you get that Mer-Man from Final Frontier? You don't see to many He-Man 8-Backs "without warranty" either. Very impressive.

Thanks! You're right, this was from FFT. I've been looking to update my Mer-man 8-back to one with an original mini comic for awhile!

I'm looking at several man-at-arms 8-backs out there. Is there any pattern to whether or not he comes with his leg and arm armor attached? Is one version rarer? I have seen him:

1. with armor attached with warranty and without free and no red dots.
2. with armor attached with warranty and with free and red dots.
3. with armor attached without warranty and with free and red dots.
4. without armor attached with warranty and without free and no red dots.

hmm. so maybe there is no rhyme or reason!

I have seen all 3 editions of the 8-Back Man-At-Arms with the armor applied and all 3 had red dots as well. So I guess there is no way to know why some do and some don't. I have had 3 different Man-At-Arms 8-Backs (still have 2) and here is the breakdown:
1st edition (No Warranty/No SKU #'s) with armor and Red Dots and "FREE"
3rd edition (with warranty) with armor/Red Dots (original 4 mini comic and FREE)
3rd edition (with Warranty) without armor and without Red Dots
I have also seen:
2nd edition (No warranty) with armor and with red dots and without FREE.

Very odd and I guess there is no pattern. Never paid attention to the armor issue until you brought it up though.

I just found a panthor at a flea market. It is still in the box, but the box is beat up. It has a the 8 back on it.
Is this a 81/82 panthor ? would it be a 8 back also?

I paid $40 was that a good price?

Panthor is very mint and looks better that a commemorative panthor that I own .

i'm pretty sure you are mistaken.. well, no panthor in the US were 81, just 82 and after.
