Tell me about it, and were did they even come up with Raqquill Rqazz anyway, I don't think it was in Icons of Evil.
It's been driving me nuts.
I think Mattel should have named him B. Eastman. (Bart)![]()

Maybe it can only be pronounced by Beast Man himself (and other members of his species) in their own language.
It might sound something like Chewbacca's growl to non-Beast Men.
HOW do you pronounce Raqquill Rqazz?!
Like this: "Beast Man"

"Amazing love; how could it be?
That You, my King, should die for me?"
In Icons of Evil Beastman calls himself Beastman. Keldor calls him Man Beast and Beastman corrects him. I think it`s Raqquill (rack will) Rqazz (ruazz) silent Q. Best I could do with it

I say Rah-kill Rah-koz. While I don't find the real names they are slapping on everyone very necessary I think Beastman's is pretty dope.
I agree with Rocket punch. I think its some kind of gutteral growl sound. I don't picture ANYONE actually useing it. Good guys/bad guys.... they'll all call him Beastman.
I don't see anyone getting on a first name basis with him![]()
"She-Ra, Princess of Power was no more. That had been the price of freedom."
I think either the R in Rqazz is silent or the Q is silent or a not spelled out letter is pronounced between. I'd go for the last option - and I think the unspelled letter would be an E since other than O and E all vowels appear and probable are to be pronounced too and the O is less likely.
"raquill rekas"
That's how I'll pronounce it anyway I think - if I ever come to use it...![]()

To me sounds like this

One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them..."

And that sounds right to me.![]()

The previous posts sound about right.
I think it's cool. I mean, if his real name was Beast-Man, then what would the other people of his kind be called? Beast-Guy? Beast-Chick? Giving him a proper name makes sense, and it makes more sense that it's all "Rah" and "Ke" sounds, since he is a beast.

Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

Exactly. I'm glad they are finally giving real names to these characters.
I'd hate to think everyone of merman's race would be called merman, or that Ramman's parents named him 'ramman' when he was born. i think their real name should be bizarre & alien sounding, yet fitting for the type of character they are; which makes their common names easier, and would make sense for them to call each other by their common names more than their real names.
i mean how silly would it be if mekaneck was called mekaneck before getting the bionic neck? Or extendar being called extendar before aquiring the power of extension? I think I had a comic of that story & i thought it was the dumbest thing ever! he didn't even have a real name before getting his 'ability'?
Even Manatarms had a real name, Dunkin, & we've found out Trap-jaw was once called Kronis (it took me a while to accept that one) so why not give everyone else a real name so they don't seem so silly with only the generic names? I hope they have a proper name for every character, because I've been wondering that for years.

I always assumed they all had real names and that the names we were given were like code names, nicknames or street names - but didn't really care to know the real names.
GI Joe has real names for every character but they are nice little contextual details but ultimately they are kind of throw away. No one calls Storm Shadow "Thomas Arashikage" - he is just Storm Shadow.
The "real" names don't bug me because it doesn't change what the character's common name is. Now if common names are changes due to loss of TM, that would suck. This happens every once in a while in GI Joe and Transformers.
To me, I feel like it's rah-keel iir-kaz.
But since it's made up it's going to sound right however you want to say it to yourself. For one I think it's nice to include supposed real names. Why not have full names for everyone? Evil-lyn, what could hers be? Keldor, Randor and others are in need of a second name.
There are tons of little details like that here and there that could be touched upon like this. Not that they're important though, right now they're just window dressing.
