Glad to hear it! They've taken their time in coming this month.
Hopefully I'll get them today as well.

Glad these are still turning up customs-free. I was beginning to give up hope & expect a ransom note instead.

Got my first lot of TP He-Man and Draego. Draego is a fantastic figure - he feels really retro in hand. TP H-M is missing a few blobs of paint on his eyebrows - so i'll wait for my second one to open.

Postie just delivered my Thunder Punch He-Man and Draego Man, just when I was arranging my MOC display too. Great timing.

    Hello all,

I recently stumbled across the MOUTUC line of he-man figures (I used to have a massive amount of the vintage toys when I was 4/5/6 years of age).
I want to start my own collection and have attained some figures from ebay, but wondered if there was an easier way to go about collecting them?

I plan to order some figures from Mattel, but wondered what postage options you all use back to the UK - I think on Mattel's website there is either internationally tracked postage for $45 or ground shipping for $8/10.

I just wondered if I chose the cheaper option if the toys would actually make it back to the UK? Can one of you with some experience give me any advice?
Also, on average, how much does a $22 figure with shipping, generally cost in GBPs or euros?

    Regards

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

I've used the cheapest postage available since the line the started in 2008, and I've never had anything go missing.

A single $22 figure from Mattel, shipped with the cheapest shipping option probably costs about £20. Sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more depending on the exchange rate.
Multiple figures shipped at the same time are often charged the same $9.95 postage, so the average price per figure goes down.
For example: my Shadow Weaver, Fisto and Sorceress were all shipped together. The postage was low, so I only paid about £16 per figure net.

Of course, then there's customs duties, which is £8 per parcel + 20% of the cost of the toy (not including the postage)
Customs should never be charged on single figures. Anything that costs less than £15 is ignored (and $22 figures are just under that cut-off).
Duty should apply to everything else, but it isn't collected consistantly, and often parcels slip under the radar.
I've bought everything the range has to offer month after month since 2008, and only been stung for customs duty four times.
Other UK collectors have had to pay it more often, so it might depend on how efficient your local sorting office is.

My advice would be to buy whatever reissues you can get from Mattycollector, and only use eBay for items that Mattel haven't reissued.
Anything sold before August 2011 could feasibly be reissued, so a little patience might save you a lot of cash.
You might also find some bargains in the Marketplace here on He-Man.org, but most sellers are in the USA so postage is a factor.

My other advice is that if you want everything (or nearly everything) then get a subscription for 2013 when they go on sale in July.
If you want to pick and choose your collection, then avoid the sub.

    Hope that helps,

    Neil.

My non-sub Draego-Man and Tri-Klops arrived today. Draego-Man is all kinds of epic. Bloody love him to bits!

No sign of my MOTU or Voltron Subs yet though.

Very disappointed to have my figures arrive and all be quality control disasters. Draego-Man's chest is covered in glue, TP He-Man's furry pants are malformed, and (Voltron) Hunk's leg has fallen off. A very sad day.

I'll echo what Neil said above - I've had a sub for 3 years and ordered single figures before that all using the cheap shipping option - never had any problems with figures arriving.

The length of time varies from month to month but usually appear before the next month's fig goes on sale.

    Welcome to the line.

Snap. This hasn't happened for a while, even with customs charges. God knows when Stinkor etc will turn up.
Really looking forward to Draego man.

Still not got my April figs, they usually arrive before the next sale date.

Does anyone have a spare Whiplash for sale or trade? I have a MAA and Sorceress for trade.

I'm worrying about the dreaded 'C' word now as my figures still have not arrived yet.

I ordered my figures individually so it's unlikely they're being held by customs, the delay must be for another reason.

I ordered four April day of sales figures in one package and they haven't arrived yet. Was worrying now that they have passed the May sale day but pleased to see I'm not the only one. Misery likes company!

    Hooray!
Thunder Punch He-Man and Draego-Man arrived today (no customs!)

They're both fantastic figures. Absolutely brilliant - the standard just keeps rising.
    Draego-Man is enormous!
And somehow, I'd forgotten all about the mini-comic.

What a great way to spend my birthday!

My Lion Force, Eternia and 30th subs came today via Parcel Force with no customs. Too long a wait, but nice not to get stung.

Just read mine and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's got a cool retro story telling feel to it.
