What country did that big package come from?
    It came from the USA.

Actually it is random - the law/regulations may state that anything over £18 gets clobbered but over the last 20 years of getting stuff from America and Japan I have had about 50% of my parcels not get charges - I think it is purely down to luck and the workload at Customs/Parcelforce/whoever is handling your package.

I had a parcel from BBTS in the States come through to me just last week with a stated value on the form of $245 - and no charge. 3 weeks previously a parcel from the same source valued at $94 got stung for £21. There is no reason for this except pure bad/good luck. And this is what makes it so irritating.

Still no Hordak here - well over the usual 17 days now........

I'll second this. Had similar experiences with parcels from the US and Japan and sometimes been hit and sometimes not. Had a HUGE box delivered once from the USA, labelled $200, and wasn't charged but then have been charged for much smaller, cheaper things.

They have to sort out this shipping as its been a joke waiting near a month for a figure. i love the figures but having to wait for ages for them is stupid! i got one from ebay, paid the same price and got it in half the time!

Well it's still one new figure every month same as everyone else.

It's only when you see folks posting pics of a figure they got before you, is when ya get annoyed in my opinion.

Or when people in the same country as you get the figure a fortnight quicker with the same shipping service. Mail on the move seems to be a very erratic service.

Except at least we are all in the same boat at the moment - if no-one over here has it yet it probably means they haven't left Germany on whatever train of delivery ants crawls down the chunnel with them. Perhaps they are on a go-slower-than-usual.......

Thanks for the advice SirBushnell - I shall not turn on Mattel like an ungrateful child!

I hate HMG Customs with a special loathing on exactly this topic, but I think ungrateful child ranting at Mattel is justified too - afterall if they could be bothered to set up a Euro hub to deal with their Matty Business it would reduce both the likelihood of, and scale of any charge you would be clobbered with.

I've heard those on this board say how unlikely it would be that such a thing would come to pass, but when all you are talking about for the UK would be a few hundred MOTUC at the most per month for their Maidenhead Head Office (which is enormous by the way) to deal with then a couple of work-experience students in the mail room could handle it. It isn't rocket science. And yes I do know of where I speak, I organise one of my company's mail-rooms.

But that would mean Mattel actually having to DO something. Much better/cheaper for us to keep getting whacked in the nose.......

Mattel have already said they are looking into having a shipping house in Germany.
This will solve a tonne of problems.

It would be great if they make a distribution center here in Europe, so far i havent paid costums, but i´m afraid of having to pay costums when Battlecat is on is way

And so I walk, into the searing light which banishes all darkness, surrendering my face and form to atoms of dust, seeking the true darkness of peace, the cool shadows of eternity and the unknown fate of nothingness

I dont think I have had to wait this long before for any of the classics. Zodac seemed to take a few days longer than normal but im sure Hordak has taken longer now.

I got one of my Hordaks today!!

This one was mailed on July 2nd by a fellow board member and he came now.
    Postage was the same.

So it's very odd indeed that it's happened again.

Anyways, I will not get much work done today:
