So here's my attempt at making movie Skeletor. Same story as my Filmation version, I rediscovered the series with the classics figs, and watched the movie once through because I love it, but then become immediately discontent with the fact that we never got a movie Skeletor figure and most likely never will. So I turned on my X-box put on the movie hit pause and began using the zoom. I gotta say I've never really appreciated how intricate the movie designs really are. Skeletor's is quite frankly amazing as we all know, but I never noticed just how many details his costume truly has. It's incredible. And... ahem.. this figure's on ebay too.

WHOA!

That is incredible! The sheer detailing, a perfect professional looking recreation. I'll keep an eye on the auction I'd love to have it but probably won't be able to afford it.

Same here an amazing job on capturing the detail,I knew there was alot of it,but never thought it had that much.I'm gonna watch out for this to.

That's amazing! VERY well done! But, if you made it because you were discontented with the fact that the only way to have a movie version was to make one yourself, why's he on ebay? Not that I'm complaining! And yes, he really is detailed; I read somewhere Frank Langella saying they had about 40 costume fittings before they decided on his look and that he was really happy they did because he thought it turned out great.

Don't get me wrong, I love this custom. But he was my first attempt at recreating movie Skeletor... I had to go back so many times to refinish the detailing on the armor and face only to find out there were STILL improvements to be made once I began doing his God-Skeletor costume, and that I was simply too far along to risk ruining the whole thing by trying to go back and remake his armor face and cloak one more time. Now my design notes and drawings are more complete, and I'm far more positive about how to approach the project this time around so I'm planning on making another one. I had bought 2 base figures just incase I ruined one while attempting the custom but that didn't happen so I have the extra base lying around anyway.

The detailing on the face is perfect! He looks just like movie Skelly! And I love the costume. You did a fantastic job on this one! Oh, how I would love to own a figure just like this!

Geeze, that's a masterpeice! GREAT job, here! Skeletor was my favorite part of that whole movie, and you pulled him right off the screen! Makes me sad that we won't be seeing anything like this, but I'm glad you used your talents to show us what could be!

Amazing work. I am so excited to see that you could turn a DCUC character into this. How awesome and when I look at the pics full size it's as if you don't need a close up cuz they are such large images. Breath taking.

I know.

You would think that they would have given us He-man, Skeletor, and MAA... but all we got was B/C list characters before they lost the license? I never got that.

No. I used a DC Superheroes (BTW good call Beyond the Legends) Black Manta body and a Marvel Legends series 8 Iceman head. Aside from that and the blade of his sword verything else was either sculpted or crafted somehow.

I've been using DC Superheroes figs for He-man customs because of the bare base bodies being so easy to build a character up with and because they were sculpted by the Four Horsemen, so they still retain the same type of feel as the Classics and 200X figs.
