    Happy Horde Day!!! MoTUC Style

Greetings from the Chicago Horde. Today at the Graham Crackers comic book store in Wheaton, Il. the Chicago Horde held our open house style Chicago Horde meet and greet. We were giving out free 200X comics(thanks to Graham Crackers and JimmyPSHayes), had a He-Man cake!(Thanks Dynamo of Eternia) and the guys built a Castle Grayskull for the occasion. What would a Castle Grayskull be without hero's and villans to fight. Very special thanks to Mattel and Toy Guru for loaning us the figures! Enjoy the pics!

Those pictures just made my day. You have no idea. I can't wait for Hordak and MAA now (not that I could wait before ) and I wish I didn't miss out on the figures that I did, hopefully they'll be rereleased soon.

    That Castle Grayskull is EPIC!!!!

Bah! Why was I not informed about this?! Lol, ok, maybe cause I'm not very well known around here yet...still, I was off today, and GCC of Wheaton is maybe 20 min. from my apt tops. I soooo could have been there! Would have loved to get a glimpse in person of MAA, Hordak, and Zodac before the general release. Nice job on the castle for all who worked on it, looks great!

He-Man is actually the worst figure of the bunch to me. He'll look better, though, when they take that red away from his eyes. Even King Grayskull is a better looking FIGURE than He-Man, though I have zero interest in King Grayskull--or He-Ro for that matter.

Thanks for the large pics! Hordak's armor doesn't look that bad now that we've seen it up close.

Why couldn't they give Hordak the normal waist piece that all the other figures have? That longer fur makes his legs look too short.

That's a good observation. I didn't notice they used King Grayskull's loincloth for Hordak.

I hope they re-release He-Man with that loincloth. I like his initial released L-Cloth but I like the longer look.

That looks like you folks had a fun bash. Hopefully someday soon we'll have an annual Masters Of The Universe convention.

I was also curious to see how Hordak would look in this picture, because I noticed before in some pictures of a carded Hordak that he had KG's furry pants, but the prototypes we've seen from NYCC and the pictures from Matty have the regular loin.

So... Will Hordak be like the pictures on Matty or will he have KG's pants?

No. Mattel helped out by loaning the figures for the event. We don't get to keep them. All of them are getting sent back. The only figure that wasn't from Mattel was the loose Skeletor. Since that one wasn't sent, I brought mine in to complete the display for the day.
