    Answers to WTFWTK 2.124!

Mattel has once again provided answers to your questions.
Thanks again to them for taking the time to answer these!
Check out their answers to your Round 124 questions!

This round of questions were selected by Scotward.
Thanks to that fan for their help!

    1. zodak74: Now that we know the polybagged Imp transformation is strictly exclusive to SDCC attendees, will you consider tooling a different Imp transformation to include with a future figure down the road? Maybe as a pack-in accessory for a Horde character like Vultak or Filmation Tung Lashor?

We certainly can. In no way are we restricted to only doing standard Imp and Chest Imp. He has so many different forms it is likely one day down the road we could potentially do another form.

    2. Swanmarsh: With fans currently getting Battle Lion and being able to mix-match BL's armor to create a 200x version of Battle Cat, would you advise what mix-match of current parts, figures (or variants thereof) and weapons creates the 'ultimate' MOTUC-ized version of 200x He-Man? Thanks.

There really is no one correct answer. We've seen a lot of fans use the 2011 King Grayskull body and armor (sans cape) with a Man-At-Arms sword, but really when creating custom figure it is up to each fan how they want their collection to look!

    3. bcrduke: On a past episode of Roast Gooble Dinner, Scott mentioned that after Hydron and Flogg, the next two most important NA characters to include in MOTUC were Mara and Crita. Since Crita was not included in the three-way vote at NYCC 2013, but Mara was, has Crita been placed lower in importance than both Darius and Tuskador (who were included in that vote), despite Crita consistently blowing away every single NA Character in any "NA most-wanted" poll that has ever been run online?

We would love to get to many more NA figures. Time will tell. But for 2014 and 2015 we are focusing on the A list characters like Hydron and Flogg.

    4. Niki: It has been said numerous times that the bios for MOTUC were written back in 2008 and back then the Filmaton stores and background information couldīt be used for the MOTUC bios and canon. But since then, you have acquired the Filmaton rights. Why haven't the bios been updated and improved with the Filmaton stories?

It was a lot of work and effort to have all the bios written and then approved by multiple departments. Now that we have approved bios we are sticking to them. It doesn't mean the "Filmation events" didn't or couldn't happen, we just didn't have rights to them at the time the bios were written and approved.

    5. Shokoti's Slave: Is Randor the king of the entire planet of Eternia, ruling over other lands and monarchs? Or just the kingdom of Eternos?

Randor is the King over all of the Light Hemisphere. Other lands do have lords or "rulers" like Stratos who commands Avion but is loyal to Randor in Eternos.

Good round. Curious what that means for Critta. I still think she's probably coming next year. For the record I want her.

I'm still completely lost as to what Toy Guru considers "A list" New Adventures. I admire his multiple attempts to 'clarify' this, but since it's really difficult to say whether Lizorr is considered more "A list" than Quakke or Butthead, who knows whether we'll see all or any of these.

The bios answer still doesn't really make sense when you consider once they had access to Filmation they would have then had to write bios for all of them as well. So there is no way they ALL could have been 100% complete in 2008. Also, it would not have been that much effort, I wouldn't think, to tweak bios where appropriate when they would've been dependent on Filmation specific events once they had the rights.

Either way I don't care as I don't keep the card backs anyway, but still...

I too am still confused about TG explanation of 'A-List'. Does he mean A-List for the cartoon, or for the vintage line?

Since he always says use Flogg and NA skeletor as a guide, then I guess it means Vintage, which means no Crita?

He recently said that there is no separation for Vintage and the JETLAG characters they are all combined together under the term NA.

To me, the answer to the NA question is unclear. The questioner was asking about Crita and her relative importance, but the answer was just "hopefully we'll get to more NA." While I do hope that more NA figures are coming, is Crita considered A-list? If not, where would she fall?

Not really sure the answer to the NA question makes any sense but Crita is the most requested NA character by far, doesn't that make her A-List?.

If you go by the most recent 2016 poll results from the main page of the Org, Tuskador, Crita, Lizorr and Quakke are at the top of the most wanted for NA. So I would assume Crita is considered A-list in the remaining roster of NA characters.

'A list' as considered by the majority of fans yes, but since when has this always meant a guaranteed figure by the brain trust at Matty? If only. That said I think you're probably right, Val. I'd imagine at this stage that Matty is using these he-man.org polls as their indicator that, A) they are on the right track, B) they royally screwed up by miscalculating desire.

Very true! Not sure if his size will rule him off. But definitely a popular NA toy.

    in regards to question #4...........

I would be interested to see what the bios would look like with Filmation Events.

i.e. what events would be mentioned with what characters.

I don't know if that would improve the overall fan's opinion of the bios but it'd fun to read.

Please, don't hold Crita until 2016! She may never happen and this IS that NA character pretty much everyone wants. Is it just me, or was that answer tantamount to "we'll see about it in 2016....IF the 2015 sub goes through...SUB!SUBSCRIBE!!DO IT!!!CRITA IS OUR HOSTAGE!!!" LOL

Guess I shoulda asked my question of MGM! LOL.

At least it is a sorta answer - King Grayskull as the buck for 200x He-Man.

Personally, I've decided to use He-Man as the buck with the KG harness and MAA sword. Now we just need a vac metal version of He-Man's shield!

Try the silver shield that came with the TRU 2PK HeMan. It matches the MAA Techno Sword nicely.

Ya, I think this is the time to push for Crita. She is very popular, and hopefully Mattel has gotten the message. Would love to see her before 2015 is up!
