Mattel regretted to tell us that in order to cut cost Castle Grayskull is now a DIY piece.

That actually would be kinda cool. Be able to paint it any color you want, imagine a stone gray with some eternian graffiti on it, all black, battle damaged, or whatever.

Cool, daily teaser shots of the prototype castle until the reveal at NYCC is a nice treat! I like this shot of the window, it looks big enough for the Sorceress to peek through. The lack of paint deco at this stage doesn't bother me, I'm more interested in the sculpt itself. I definitely look forward to seeing more pics over the course of the week...Thanks for posting this, Tallstar!

It's likely just the sculpt, I doubt they are even close to prototype in a plastic yet....It's a huge item.

As has been mentioned, CB specifically said the sculpt was going off to be painted after they finished the sculpt. So either this was pre-painting or it's just B&W.

I totally forgot that they will reveal CG's prototype at TF! I hope it will be painted by then. On the other hand, teaser pics are dreadful IMO, I'd rather see the whole thing on Sunday, and yes I can wait.

I put a bunch of images together to compare - let the nitpicks begin So excited about the previews and I'm certain that regardless we will end up with nothing short of a masterpiece by the 4HM. That said we all have our preferences - hoping this will be a fun ride Looks like this teaser pulls from Mark Taylor's proto the most. The window ledge appears to be stone vs wood. I'd rather they'd gone with the the filmation ledge if going stone or stick to one layer of stones like on the Mark Taylor proto. Lots of little brick like stones feels a bit more "made" imo. I'm hoping for a bit less "structure" and a little more organic than the icon heroes sculpt (which I do love).
