Didn't Scott say that the Weapons Rack was going on sale when the Castle does? (or am I thinking of King Grayskull?)

With shipping to here in Philly, it would've been $300 if I preordered. Consider yourself lucky.

I think that the said there would be a limited number of them available. That sounds right.

Saw CG for the first time at NYCC today and all I can say is...wow. Videos and pictures don't do this thing any justice. The paint, size, sculpt, and quality of plastic used is really second to none. It's very sturdy and heavy and feels like a $250-300 piece. Now I'm really excited for November, but even more unsure now where I'm going to put this behemoth.
Let's get HUNGA THE HARPY before 2016!

Install some museum quality UV glass, like the Louvre has, and get some museum lighting so you can see it when you drive up at night.

Was at NYCC today. The castle is HUGE! I was not prepared for it...it's really big! Also, it is really a masterpiece! The accessory paint apps, the functions, the main deco, just a beautiful piece! I am so glad I pre-ordered one.

TG said he was giving better measurements in that last video before NYCC but we still don't know the base dims at their widest points.

Can someone at least measure the diameter if the lazy susan they have at NYCC?

Well-played! Great reference, especially since we're getting it around Christmas!

I have no idea when mine is arriving. I preordered Day #1, but they had to alter, cancel, reissue my order due to cc/ address changes, so I don't know if that hurtles me to the back of the line. If so, that's fine, I guess. I'll just live vicariously through others till mine arrives!
I'm really curious if I'll be able to fit it on top of my detolf, even closed!

I was there Sunday as well. The girls in the booth were nice... very talkative and wanted to show me every feature of the castle... they did their job for sure! The castle is unbelievable in person. The plastic is perfect, paint job is nuts. I kept going back to the castle all day long, cuz it was just that awesome! Seriously, it is a work of art... expensive, yes! Worth the cost... Absolutely!!!!
I will NEVER believe that Mermista beheaded Mer-Man! You sit on a throne of lies.... and smell of beef and cheese, bio writer!!!!

Gah!!! NO base dimensions again! That diagonal measurement and those interior dimensions don't' do anything for those of us who are trying to plan our display for this behemoth.

    I've tried asking again here...

We'll see what happens. I'm itching to get to work on my lazy susan.

I got lucky and found a discarded (but still like new) round kitchen table on the side of the road last week, and plan on trying it out in my Toy Room. Of course, I still want a Lazy Susan for it (and need to paint it white to match my other shelves and such).

If it doesn't work, my wifey is going to paint it up real cute-like and sell it; she's a bit crafty, that one.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

Use an oil base or a lacquer. Latex will be no.good as it wont be durable for one and another the original coating on it will be oil based or lacquered. You could always oil prime it and put a semi gloss latex on it. But again, it wont be durable. And this should be sprayed and not.cut and rolled. No one want to buy a piece of furniture that was cut and rolled. That is like buying a car that was cut and rolled, would you buy it?

Thanks for the tips, but it's not our first rodeo.
