Aintitcoolnews.com has a bit up about the NYCC reveals. More exposure for the Grayskull pre-order!

Yeah, it does look smaller than I expected.

Now, I do realize I am in the minority but that is how I feel. I don't play with or display my toys, I just horde them (pardon the phrase) in large bins. So that may lead to the next question...why i do I get them at all? Nostalgia, re-living my youth, investment, for my kids or their kids...

I would rather see that amount of resources going into getting us all the missing figures in this line.

If I ever change my mind (not gonna happen, but let's say I do) there will be lots of them floating around. Ebay, collector sites etc. Yeah, I might pay more, or it may cost me a number of items in trade BUT it will be available. And I will know what the finished product will look like.
Honestly most of your reasons are of my own as well. Nostalgia the big one and sharing them with my kids is another. As far as the figures go I'm in the same boat with you there. I want all the vintage figures done as well. And don't quote me but I think this is a different resource for CG as this is a preorder not associated at all with the subscriptions and how they are released. I do hope you change your mind and reconsider.

I think the front piece floors are the ones that are off, and the side floors are probably fine.

But it's just a mockup to show scale with the figures. Really not too fussed about it as the 4H are gonna do their thing anyway.

I did some measuring last night of He-Man on Battle Cat. If the door dimensions are really 9.5" x about 5" at the most narrow spot, then He-Man will, just barely, fit through the door on Battle Cat!!! How awesome is that?!!
You're right, Baena. I should trust the 4H.

Anyway, I'm stoked that He-Man on Battle Cat should fit in the doorway for the Classics Grayskull! Matty should show this once they get the mock-up ready with He-Man & BC in the doorway....

Dang, I really want this thing!!!

Assuming the red bulb at the bottom is like a normal thermometer and is the starting point, then we have only moved up 3 tick marks. Assuming the red arrow is the actual goal, if you follow the curve around to the tick marks, we need to get to 25. So under those assumptions, we are at 12%.

But it's hard to make assumptions with Mattel because they are not normal in the way they do things or in the way they communicate. If they were, they'd have just put a red line on the actual glass part of the thermometer to begin with instead of having the arrow point to the green stones of the tower.

That's what I've been saying. Obviously, I was expecting too much, but that mock up is disappointingly small to me. Years of tg saying they would "do it right" hyped me up too much, I guess. I still ordered one, but I'm not excited at this point. Once I see the 4h sculpt, that will probably change though.
Photog is here! thank you, Mattel!

Now how about some mini-comics love (like Lodar, Geldor, Dakon......)? And Mermista?

That's interesting.... so they won't charge more for shipping next year no matter what? I'm surprised.

The gray tube in the lower picture represents a rough guess of how big the tower to the new Castle Grayskull will be on the right hand side facing the castle:

    Anyone remember this...

Its the Sectaurs Hive Playset. I had one when I was a kid and my parents sold it at a garage sale without telling me a few years ago.

Anyway, it shows you what is possible in terms of size. Classics CG could have been MUCH bigger.

Maybe a little more for shipping, but it wouldn't actually cost much more in terms of additional material, which would be minimal. TG has said many times that the real cost is in tooling and design.

Yes but bigger castle also means bigger tooling.

No larger tools can cost quite a lot more.

That's pretty darn awesome! I do have to say though, the window is WAY too narrow (like I feared). The Sorceress probably can't even stick her head out if it right now! It needs to be a tiny bit wider.

I still love it and am impressed. I didn't realize how much larger than the original it would be! Epic, indeed!

This will look AMAZING with vintage figures too. Everyone...get your friends that only collect the vintage figures to pre-order this!!!
