Custom POP figures :: Wave 1 :: She-ra, Castaspella, Frosta & Entrapta

Hello everyone!
We finally finished one of our projects... we want to complete the POP universe, using the 80s POP figures as bases (with a few exceptions here and there), but not as girly, so we chop the rooted hair, threw away the glossy capes and skirts, and molded their hair, clothes and weapons.

We decided to make them in waves, consisting in 4 figures per wave. First one includes: She-ra, Castaspella, Frosta & Entrapta.
We're quite happy with the result, and hope you guys and girls are, too!

Oh my god, they are incredable! We need a shot with all of your POP-Filmation figures. Best customs I have seen in a long long time!!!!!!!!! You guys are real artists!

And to incorporate you guys in our customs, we decided to let you vote for the next 4 figures!!
We will give you 6 characters and vote for the one/s you like the most, and the 4 who gets the more votes, turns into one of our customs figures! Cool, huh?
The contestants are:

Netossa - Glimmer - Mermista - Queen Angella - Catra - Scorpia
(if nobody votes and this fails, We get to choose! haha)

The hair on all of these girls is just amazing, perticularly Castaspella and She-Ra.

It is really exciting watching you guys refine your style. It is definitely getting closer and closer to the designs seen on the show. And your detail work is really improving! Frosta's face looks particularly right for the character. Colors are vibrant and popping...

I think there's still some room for improvement, especially when looking at the back of She-Ra's head - the hair looks gloopy, but like all your other past shortcomings, will surely improve if you guys keep it up as you have been!

Really impressive. Keep it up!

My votes are for Catra, Mermista, Angella and Scorpia!

Hi guys, what material do you use to sculpt the hair and clothes on these figures. I am assuming it is something that you apply directly onto the figure and then it cures as it drys?

Yes, we use miliput or epoxy, depending on our mood and what we want to do, and use enamels to paint. Hope that helps!

I think if Mattel had produced gals like these even the little BOYS would have wanted them! I knwo I would have! Awesome work, can't wait for more.

Thanks for your words! The bad thing about the original POP figures was that they were WAY too intended for girls... they were dolls and not action figures, and we wanted to make POP figures that boys would like, too, so thank you!

Those are awesome! I love your approach. Personally I love the frily skirts and glitter, so my customs are the exact opposite. But you have done a phenominal job!
