Sorry fore asking here, but is there already a OFFICIAL Tri-Klops thread?
Am I allowed to start one? Cause I have lots of questions about him especially after seeing the one going on sale on eBay. How could that happen anyway? And does anyone else think the orange paint on that eBay MOC version is aweful!!?? Is it a prototype or the real deal, the one we get in september? Because the Tri-Klops version shown at the last Con (with MAA and Hordak) looks so much better! This one looks kind of cheap. Is it just me or?

Can't wait for Man-At-Arms. I'm usually very patient, but this is the one figure tempting me to use the faster shipping method if I could afford it. I'm not a big fan of the club, but the 4Hm's solution for the arm armor is pure genius! And tons of accessoires! I'll probably like him even more than Mer-Man.

I disagree. Star Wars figures look really good with the removable helmets. One of my favorite figures is the removable helmet Darth Vader.

I honestly think MAA mayy be the best MOTUC figure of the year, which to me is a testament to the 4H & MOTUC in general, taking a less than fantastic core character & really making him shine!!

Here is my question, The picture of the Man-at-Arms posted on the main page is a little different than the prototype (which sold today). Look at the armor strap on the left forearm. Is the picture from Mattel a prototype too?

The colored picture may be the painted 2up. If you check the pics from NYCC the thicker arm strap is on there. It could be something as simple as a production change to better facilitate manufacture.

    Looks that way to me.

The color 2 up probably has a glued on forearm armor piece, while the test shot seems to have a removable forearm armor piece with strap.

Just to let you guys (and gals ) know, the Four Horsemen are not sculpting these figures as 2 Ups. They are sculpting them at the actual scale ...

Something I just noticed in MAA bio

I just noticed something in the bio of Man-at-Arms. I tried searching to see if anybody had noticed it but couldn't get the search feature to bring up anything.

For two centuries, the Eternian weapons master and combat instructor to the royal family has been called the "Man-At-Arms". Trained by the renowned tactician Dekker and a veteran of the Great Unrest, Duncan was asked by King Randor to step into this position and fortify his guard with an elite strike force which he named- The Masters of the Universe...

OK. Notice the section I bolded. Dekker and a veteran of the Great Unrest. Doesn't the wording of this seem to hint that MAA had two trainers? Everyone in the MAA thread seemed really excited about Dekker that no one (that I noticed at least.) noticed the "and". Can it be that MAA had two trainers? If so, who is this other guy?

Feel free to call me crazy or just tell me you think I'm misreading the paragraph, I could very well be, but I just thought it seemed to hint at something more.

It excites me because it leaves open the possibility for Rohad if Mattel gets the rights to use Filmation. You guys remember Rohad right? He was MAA teacher in the episode The Remedy. I personally hope that this is the case but maybe it's not, maybe I'm just looking for any excuse to stick the guy in.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

I see what you're saying but when I think about it, I just think it's a misinterpretation of the meaning and maybe you're reading a bit too much into it

I think Dekker *is* the mentioned veteran of the Great Unrest!

If that's the case, the "and" shouldn't be there, it should read..

Trained by the renowned tactician Dekker, a veteran of the Great Unrest..

It means that MAA was trained by the great tactician Dekker and (he is) a veteran of the great unrest. In other words, MAA is the veteran not Dekker. We know from 200X that Duncan was in fact a veteran of the Great Unrest. Duncan was already a MAA before the Great Unrest.

I'm not too crazy about the wording TBH. The fact that there are at least two ideas about who the paragraph was talking about seems to hint that the wording is slightly off.

I think Arthur's interpertation is most likely what was meant when this bio was written. But, I do see where you are coming from, Darkness! And it'd be cool to see Rohad in MOTUC.

    Arthur's right.

And if we spend our time complaining about poorly-worded phrases in the bios, we'll be here a while.

Well...at least I'm not delusional and it is poorly written. I was afraid that I was losing my ability to understand what I was reading and thanks Heidi, I can stop banging my head against the wall now.
