Has there been more than one She-Ra?

Now, I don't know if this has been discussed or not, but I was wondering, since there's been more than 1 He-Man throughout time, I was wondering if the same goes for She-Ra?

As much as I like the idea, I would have to say no. Well, at least none that wielded the Sword of Protection. That was cloned specifically for Adora.

If you are suggesting female protectors of the Sword of He, I could totally see that happening.

I would love to see a She-Ra designed after the old toy line. I know she won't have rooted hair or cloth clothing, but they could still make it look like her.

Wouldn't She-Ra really just be another of the various He-Men of history? In this case, the female variant, a girl wielding the unique sword of protection, in league with her brother, He-Man.

There is some concept artwork around for She-Ra (also Catra and Hordak) which looks nothing like the final product and I believe was intended for Filmation use. Certainly one of the Catra pics I saw was scaled against a Filmation He-Man.

Supported by the right bio-story, I think there certainly is room for multiple She-Ra's going back through history. With some of the powerful women in Eternia's past (Shokoti, Enchantress and Lady Valtira) there must have been at least one or two She-Ra heroines.

Sharella would have been a GREAT possible female he-man

I think there should be at least one female he-man... I agree there should only be one She-Ra, but a female he-man would be awesome.

    What would they call her?

    For example:

    Ky'rulla
    He-Ra of the South

they could use the "He-Ra" concept for this...

I think they should make a Gar She-Ra. She could be blue skinned. And have white hair. And different armor. And ride a white cat. I seem to remember a picture around somewhere like that...

While I wouldn't mind a female version of He-Man as one of the protectors of the Sword, I feel that She-Ra is and should be unique.

It doesn't really look very likely, considering the Sword of Protection was just cloned. But as someone else said, there can have been female protectors of the Sword of He (yeah that sounds skeevy).

Busta Toons has a -very- early She-Ra sketch on his blog where she's a brunette in bikini armor. That's kind of like the female version of Vikor, conceptually... If you want to go that route of course.

If Mattel are gonna do this I hope they take the classic toy She-Ra design, (mask and all), rename her the original concept name for She-Ra (Hera) and have her be King Grayskull or He-Ro's sister or daughter. This kinda plays on the rumors from the proposed seasion 3 of the MYP cartoon, and makes an extra character out of the classic toy She-Ra design, possibily making it easier for fans to accept the classic She-Ra design as a new and powerful pre She-Ra type character, rather than presenting the design as She-Ra herself, (ofcourse she would be She-Ra to classic toy fans so it's a win win). Bring on Hera Mattel!

To me She-Ra should be just the first female to get power from the sword of "He()".

Different concept, different character, same art directions! Might work.

I'd love a figure of that! I love that sword. I think they should go with the "He-Ra" concept they were throwing around with She-Ra, and He-Ra could be an early warrior from Etheria's past. Maybe she fell to the Horde when they first invaded Etheria?
