    Do you like Hordak's armor?

Would you prefer full-torso armour covering the ab crunch joint, or are you happy with the way it is now?

I think a petition would work better...more people see a thread on the main page than a poll that's buried on the poll page.

I like his armor and dont see what the big deal is.I also love the ab crunch so I am glad it was spared.

I wonder if Hordak's armor is getting so much hate becuase people are invisioning it on Randor,Fisto etc.

I agree. I like this armor, but the original figure looks good, the 200x looks even better, then MOTUC version is uhm...ok.

It is just fine with me; I see nothing wrong with it at all. I'd prefer to have the articulation in place, and Hordak looks cool. I will be interested to see how others turn out with it, but I have faith in the Powers that be.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

    I voted "Don't care" because I don't lol

I like Hordak the way he is, and I would have liked him if his armor had been made to cover his stomach. Either way, he's an incredibly figure, and I can't wait to own him.

    That is part of it.
Just imagine what some of those figure will look like--just bugs me.

But it really just looks bad to me.
I just don't like the look.
And since I don't care about the ab chrunch its a no brainer for me.
And now that we know it is soft plastic and not the hard stuff, I don't see it bothering the ab chrunch anymore then say Zodac's armor.

It's baffling to me because they appear to have done MAA's armor right, but not Hordak's. Baffling.

the shape of the armor is fine for me, but what i don't like is the chest having to be a solid black simply to match the armor. so now every figure who had full armor is basically gonna have a colored tank top? LAME. i also don't like that the bottom half of the torso is flat with no sculpting. they could have just made a half armor for everybody, this way you can keep the natural skin color of the figure underneath and also keep the stomach sculpt. OR...you can have a 2 armor setup. the piece you have on hordak now and a smaller piece just for the stomach, keeping his chest gray and maintaining the sculpt.

I wouldn't have a problem with the half armour IF the torso had been sculpted to be wearing a chain mail vest that cannot be removed.
This would actually improve a lot of the figures wearing armour and you'd kinda get a bonus variant when the armour is removed.

As it is, the smooth abs just look stupid with the muscled upper torso. Because of this the figure looks stupid without the armour on full time.

(can someone plz suggest this in the Q&A thread to see what matty think of this compromise? I'd be interested to how they word "we don't want to invest into sculpting anything we don't absolutely need")

Armor is fine, but they should've give him abs instead of just a black stomach. Now he looks kinda unfinished.

    yes and no.

I don't mind the half-torso armor, but I do mind the loincloth.

    they should've articulated the staction.

    'right' is extremely subjective.

I think the exact opposite is 'right'.

This figure looks brilliant, I don't remove the armor anyway and I'm not displaying any figs with their armor off.

I think Hordak looks fine. I thought so when I first saw him, and I continue to think so. Honestly, I never really understood what all the commotion was about.

I dont really care. I think Hordak looks fine as is and i will never display him without the armor so it really doesnt bother me at all. i dont see why anyone would show him off without the armor.

it's not about displaying the figures with their armor off. it's about being able to swap different armors without the figure looking completely ridiculous with one color armor and a different color stomach.

Full armor ! What about Fisto, Clamp Champ, Randor ??? If they do it like they done in He-Ro, THEN it would suck!

    Bingo!!

I wont take the armor off or switch it around either.
I just don't like the look of it.
Since when has my childhood heros(and todays heros of course),
    worn sports bra armor?

It just looks bad and will look really bad on future figures that had the same kind of armor.

Well Terror Claws Skeletor did . And look at it this looks really like a sports bra. Maybe he started that whole crossdressing thing or he saw Hordak doing it at some point.

I know you don't like the look, but are the 4H held to make MOTUC like the 80's figures? MOTUC isn't the 80's MOTU and it isn't the 200X MOTU. This might be what Hordak looks like for MOTUC, since it is a whole different era.

MOTUC has Tri-Klops with knives and a green and orange Doomseeker. It has Webstor with extra spider arms on a classic body, Hordak has a red Imp and half armor, Man-At-Arms has green fur and more weapons than he ever has before.
