Didn't WWC get the Keldor figure? Man I loved that Keldor figure. If we get one in MOTUC I hope they include that burning face head as homage to the 200x release.
Yeah, in the last few years WWC has not have had as many "exclusives" as it used to have. I would love to get... key word GET, an exclusive at WWC, considering that i'm about 40 min from there
As for the release of figures, I think they plan on making figures out of the existing body parts as much as possible. The question is, what figures can still be made from the existing pars with tooling only needed for heads and armor, and weapons, and accessories Oh my!

So the last 4 months we're getting Webstor, Teela, and one more good and evil character. I'm hoping for Man-E-Faces or Ram Man for the good guys, and Trap Jaw or Evil-Lyn for the evil warriors. I'd love to see the original first 2 series of the vintage MOTU line completed in MOTUC before the end of the first quarter of 2010.
wait... WHAT?! they won't be at NYCC in 2010? So... we don't get a convention this year basically and then when it finallY DOES roll around in oct of 2010... they won't be there...?!?!?!?!? why

I am really sad about them not being at NYCC. I went this year and had a GREAT time. BUT, Mattel was about 80% of my reason for being there.
I hope they change their minds.
As for the figures, my wild guess (based on rumors, a little bit of common sense, and logic):
Oct: Teela (logic & common sense)
Nov: Stinkor (common sense because they have the parts, but for the armor)
Dec: Adora (rumor)
of course it could be:
Oct: Teela
Nov: Stinkor
Dec: Mekaneck
But that would be odd having two figures with the same armor in a row.
It could also be:
Oct: Prince Adam
Nov: Stinkor
Dec: Teela
Anymore guesses? LOL
I think it's going to be a while before we get Trap Jaw, partly because he's a fan favorite, and it will keep people interested NOT releasing him right away, and also because they said at NYCC that the tooling for him would be rather expensive.
NEW: Head, Jaw, Cyborg-Arm, at least 3 attachments, Skull Belt, Legs
OLD: Torso, Groin/Furry Undies, Left Arm, (and maybe the feet?)
I also think Scare Glow is going to be a figure they hold back for a WHILE. It's also a big fan favorite, and they may wait for a while. Which is fine with me as long as we get him!
I hope the Green Goddess is a bonus figure in November or December (assuming she is the October figure). If she is the December figure, then that won't happen.
A Want List of Sorts:
Rokkon, Stonedar, Nepthu, Plundor, Sea Hawk, Strong-Arm, Dactys, Horde Troopers, Storm, Geldor, Modulok, Battle Ram, Kowl, Loo-Kee, Hydron, Glimmer, Eldor, Two Bad, Ninjor, Rio Blast, Mermista, Entrapta, Sweet Bee, Peekablue, Flutterina, Gorpo, Flogg, Crimson Fury, Songster, Lodar, Kex Queen, Goat Man, Darius, Uncle Montork, Dree-Elle
It's not Mattel's fault, it's the NYCC people.
NYCC was fast becoming the opposite number of San Diego, a big (and growing) winter Con on the East Coast that gave toy companies a chance to show off their toys for the first half of the year, then come summer and San Diego, do the same thing with their end-of-the-year product.
NYCC being in October of 2010 means it'll only be a few months after San Diego... and not until *next* year. Mattel needs a different venue if they planned on putting out another exclusive in the winter. It's not their fault the Con they assumed would be happening the same time every year is suddenly a fall event, and won't even happen again for a year and a half!
Wasn't that before they made more money from Mer-Man and Zodac? If we're getting Battle Cat, a totally new sculpt (although BC can be re-used 4-7 times), surely things probably changed up by now...
All of the extra weapons that MAA comes with and the Warrior Ring makes me think that tooling isn't the huge issue that it was. That's above the call of duty right there. It's still an issue, but not as bad as it was when the line first started. Maybe their annual budget got increased this year.
