I know. I just wanted to point out that MAA can be a army builder.
Some posters weren't getting that, so I posted the 200X pictures on page 1 to explain

I also know the MOTUC MAA looks like the cardback, but the bio is very 200X.
So MAA as a army builder is not weird for any-one who wants to do so.
I know I will As soon as Kobra Kahn comes out he will have 2 prison guards next to him

Aww man, I would looove to see MATTEL do a generic guard that looks like that! I hope it happens.

But I really dig these 200X guys, too. I would happily buy either one. I hope MATTEL makes both.

I was afraid this would be an issue. MAA is such a great figure and has so much custom potential with the extra head and awesome weapons. He will probably sell out in record time even given the increased numbers on production. Even I, who only usually gets one, want two MAAs. Those Royal Guards would be cool though. Can't wait to see the customs that come along.

That would be really sweet to see that happen!

    Man-At-Arms Army Builder

Ive been given this a lot of thought and after seeing Pixel Dan's review of Man-at-Arms, I wanted to see what peoples thoughts are. Given that there are two heads and potential army building, Man-At-Arms is going to be a very very quick sell out. So here's what I was wondering, should there be a push by us fans to hold off on the army building idea until M-A-A is rereleased? Give those that just want the core character in there collection that chance to collect him. To me it seems fair. I vow to only buy the two, to display both heads, what say you guys?

Should we push to hold off army building?

    Or

Is it all fair love and MotUC?

The army builder is not for me personally, but it is a cool idea.

I was all for making him an army builder, but today when I was ordering, I had 2nd thoughts, and didn't buy the 6 I was planning, too much money.

I won't be using MAA as an army builder. I hope Mattel cranks out a dedicated Royal Guard later on. I'd buy 4 at least.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

    Hey Everyone,

Matty is now saying Man-At-Arms has sold out. I am sorry to any fans who did not get there orders through. I hope Mattel bring him back as a bonus figure.

    Take Care,
    Darren
Mattel please, buy the He-Man and She-Ra cartoons from Entertainment Rights. If you owned Both Filmation related "MotU" cartoons, plus "NA" and "MYP" cartoons, you would be able to distribute any or all 4 cartoons to Television in the lead up to another relaunch or a live action movie. Plus, you could include Filmation and "NA" animated characters in "MotU:C"!

    Long Live 'MOTU'!

Agreed. MAA is not an army builder. Why? Shaved or not, he looks like MAA. Besides, the Filmation Royal Guards looked different. If Mattel makes true Royal Guards, I'll get a couple.

I considered this, but decided I wanted Man-at-Arms to remain unique. I'm hoping Mattel and the 4H create some cool royal guards later on in the line. A two pack would be awesome!

I agree! I bought 3 so I can have 2 guards. Not really enough for an "army", but at $20 a fig, that's the most of an army Eternia's gonna get around here!

Of course, they can't. It's Filmation-- off limits. They could refashion their own design of a royal guard. That would be really cool.....

I was going to get multiple MAA's also because of his army building potential, but what really sealed it for me not to, besides the price, is the fact that Duncan's armor and helmet should be unique to him like was mentioned earlier.

    Well, again:
in 200X the royal guards look A LOT like Man-at Arms. Filmation is NOT the only canon the Motuc line is based on.

While I wouldn't mind the army building idea, I'm just getting my standard 3 figures (which applies to those figures with 2 heads... normally I get 2 of each figure with 1 head... like to keep 1 MOC, and then display both heads loose if there is more than 1). I already splurged beyone my normal limit with Hordak last month (for customizng purposes).

Plus, while the guards in both Filmation and 200X basically resembled Man-At-Arms, for this MAA figure, it would take a good amount of customizing work to get the figure to look more like a guard and less like MAA, particularly in the face. Because Mustache or No Mustache, both heads look VERY MUCH like MAA, and if I just put the no Mustache heads on the "guards", it would just look like Man-at-Arms leading a bunch of other Men-At-Arms.

So, I will take a watch and wait stance to see if an actual guard figure ever comes out.

Now, when and if we get a Horde Trooper, as long as my finances allow, I will probably buy the maximum of 10 figures.
