What would you do if your He-Ro was missing the spell stone?

A fellow collector (who doesn't post here) and I were talking at work regarding Matty's quality issues of the past and came up with an interesting question...

What would you do if you opened your He-Ro, opened his staff, and there were NO spell stone in it?

But seriously, with Matty's customer service reputation, you're better off just holding on to it and enjoying it for what it is.

Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing. Sell it as a super rare 'destroyed spell-stone' variant.

I think I would just complain and open another He-Ro. It's not worth the hassle of trying to return it.

But I'm not going to open mine so hopefully I won't have to worry about the stone missing.

Make one. Find something that would fit and plunk it in there.

Or call the customer service number and see what they could do.

I would make an effort to try and get a new one or a replacement. If that didnt work I would just keep the staff closed. Once I have Ro in hand i would never let him leave

I'd just replace it myself with something. It wouldn't be too hard to customize something in there.

I hope it doesn't come missing, but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me.

Having heard the horror stories of MattyCollector's customer service...I just might cry a bit.
I'd try to see if I could get a replacement through MC, but I have a feeling it'd be a long, hard road.

Same. Getting it replaced would be unlikely to happen, and would be more of a pain than it's worth if you could make it happen. Sometimes it's better to just roll with the punches. I would just keep the staff closed. If my He-ro was missing his head, that would be a different story.

I would just wait till someone here makes custom colored stones and buy one. I'm sure we'll see eventually someone in the customs forum with a light blue color or pink, a light green. Yellow perhaps? A Rainbow assortment of spell stones.

I'd let He-ro travel back to Pre-Etrenia go thru a set of challenges to replace his Spell Stone.

Then travel to a craft store myself & find something to replace it. I agree with everyone else who just wouldnt chance it.

I'd probably throw a fit for a minute, then in my story, say that the spell stone was placed inside Adora's sword, and now that He-Ro exists in present day, the two stones can't exist simultaneously in one time space.

I'd probably try to find something else to place in the cepter, but I don't know....

I'd rant and rave, curse Mattel with every breath on every board I could find. Then I'd go around, pick up a cheesy piece of costume jewelry with a stone about the right size and stick it in there.

I could see it happening, although Mattel's QC has improved of late (that's not as big a compliment as it sounds, considering the depths to which it plunged with the DCUC line around waves 3 and 4). I also imagine Matty would have some set aside for replacements as they usually do. But I would seriously consider doing the above before sending back and otherwise acceptable He-Ro, simply because I want that character so badly and wouldn't chance him vanishhing into Matty Limbo. Matty would get an earful from me, though.
