4 Horsemen wish-list of characters shown at Wizard World

    Update from the Four Horsemen:

Along with Sword-of-Grayskull, I was also at Wizard World Philadelphia.

I asked the Horsemen how hard it will be to sculpt a new Ram Man figure. Cornboy said that it will not be a challange it's Mattel giving the money for a whole new tooling that can not be reused.

But for me the most interesting thing was at the end of the MOTU part of their slideshow when they showed an intriguing picture:

    What do you think?

    EDIT:
For those who may not recognize the characters at first glance,
Here's what is shown in the slide, from left to right.
Top row: The Goddess (original Sorceress from original mini-comics), villains from New Adventures of He-Man, Adora (who transforms into She-Ra), Megator (classic Powers of Grayskull evil giant toy only released in Italy)
Bottom row: Tytus (classic Powers of Grayskull heroic giant toy only released in Italy), Shadow Weaver (evil sorceress from The Evil Horde), heroes from the New Adventures of He-Man, Lizard-Man (hero from the classic cartoon)

The Four Horsemen could do a great NA He-man. Tytus and Megator would be awesome! I wouldn't expect them to be the same scale as the vintage figures (due to the unique tooling costs), but I'm sure they could use something from DCUC to get us those figures.

Is that SHADOW WEAVER in that pic? ... and Lizard Man??? Does this mean they are going to be doing Filmation based characters?

That would be awesome.... but I'll believe it when I have the finished figures in my hands. if they made a deal to aquire the rights to those characters they would tell us. untill then, i'll assume they haven't done so yet.

but, If they can give us lizardman & shadow weaver, in toy form, after all these years, I'll be forever grateful.

Tytus & Megator to me are merely a bonus. i never knew them as a kid, nor did i know the NA heroes & villans, so i won't lose sleep if those never get done again. i hope they do though, as there are many who very much want them.

But give me the Filmation characters please.... they're the ones i knew the best from my childhood, and every bit as important to me as the ones that got made into toys back in the day.

it's not always about re-use guys.

giant sized figures require more resources, and therefore would be more expensive for the consumer.

price would be an important part of it as well. No casual fan wants to spend $50 on a giant figure five times. The hardcore fans would, but I doubt you'd get many repeat casual buyers, and therefore that particular risk would factor into the decision to do it.

Well, dang. I really was starting to get excited. I do appreciate the Horsemen coming on here to clarify things for us, though.

So, I guess we're back to hoping that there's a possibility Mattel will be able to release these characters someday.

If it's true, that would be the best news since the start of the MOTUC Line!

It would both be a blessing and a curse... for every Filmation character that got an action figure such as Shadow Weaver, Scorpia, Shokoti, Strongarm... a character that I really want from the toyline such as Rokkon, Extendar, Scareglow, Entrapta, Double Trouble, ends up getting pushed back another twenty or so years

Your really want me to pass out don't you? I would faint on the spot if those are being made. Gad without question the greatest toy line in history if they can get those filmation properties, so many never made too. Visions of Shotoki, she is calling...

It's hard for me to imagine them sticking Filmation characters in there without a reason... could it really be happening?

Because we stated just before the image in question was shown during our presentation that these are by no means characters that are currently planned, but were some of the characters that we hope to some day be able to turn into action figures. Our personal wish list so to speak.

Let's not get too excited and blow things out of proportion.

In order for something like this to ever become a reality, continued and expanding fan support and spreading of the MotU Classics gospel would absolutely be required.

With Masters of the Universe and all of it's related properties over the years, the possibilities truly are endless. Keep pushing for and requesting those strange, obscure possibly never-to-be-seen-again characters to be made into figures, and you never know what might happen.

    Our fingers are certainly crossed.

My fingers are crossed too. Please can we have Snout Spout, Roboto and Sy-Klone by the end of 2010? I'm happy for the line to die after they come out...

I for one am all about the obscure characters and would be more than happy if that is all that we get. I mean the main characters have all been done to death.

That being said I want everything pictured in that slide, starting with tytus

I really hope this was some form of tactic to gauge fan reaction.
I really would love a Shadow Weaver, Lizard Man, Tytus, and Megator.

If they keep showing this version of her every time they do a slideshow presentation vs. using images from the actual POP toy packaging, I'm willing to bet that when Adora comes along she's sporting her Filmation gear. If it weren't a "possibility" then I doubt they'd even bother dangling this carrot in front of everybody's face, at a convention, no less.
