    Lee's toy review He-Man guide...

I used to have an issue of Lee's Toy Review that had pics of all of the original figures but I sold it when I unloaded my original He-Man collection. I was thinking about trying to find a copy again but I don't know which issue it was. Any body know? Thanks!

Go grab the NEWEST issue, or really ANY issue at the bookstore, they have a page or two dedicated, to ordering guides they have perviously released.

I think they are $7 each.

I checked an issue I have right now, slightly older but nothing in it about He-Man...

I have 2 old issues at home, one shows all the figures loose and the other shows the figures MOC. I'll post both issue numbers in the morning but one may be the same as the above issue.

I found them, one is Lee's #70 (as already mentioned) and the other is Tomart's Action Figure Digest No.33 which shows the MOC's.

I donīt know about Tomartīs magazine but in Leeīs they forgot Tytus.
Itīs interesting they show Megator, LL He-Man, LP Skeletor and even WB He-Man( as a "mail order" - the legend begins...).

But there are no beasts, vehicles and Tytus...

Yeah, Tytus gets no love. The most expensive figure of all of them and not even a picture.

They've made multiple books based of info like this for G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Star Wars. There must be enough material to fill a Masters Of The Universe version. They're on their 5th toyline.

    No problem. Thanks!

As for POP, I've yet to see any Lee's Guide to POP. If there is one out there, I do not know of it. Maybe they will update their website - http://www.leestoyreview.com/ - with each back issue's information sometime.

Yes, there is an issue that covers POP. I happen to have the guide right here in front of me. It's from May 2000. Not sure what number that is, as I took the guide out of the magazine.

I don't have the magazine, but counting back to that date in May 2000, then it must be Issue #91. It doesn't look like Lee's has that issue in stock anymore. Looking at the POP pages, it is more article but it can be used as a guide, because there are pictures of all the 22 figures MOC, plus most of the steeds MIB, Crystal Castle MIB, prototype pictures of Starla and Tallstar...

Personally, I think Tomart's is a better toy magazine than Lee's. Starting next issue I believe, they're starting series on the history of Mattel. If it's anything like their recently completed Kenner retrospective, it will be pretty long and full of good pics. Hopefully it will contain the equivalent to a MOTU toy review in it.
