Granamyr in MotUC Discussion w/ package images

I highly doubt he'll have more articulation than the giants. I hope he does, but I'm not going to be on it. They're really going to have blow this one out of the water for me to even consider getting this. A cool back drop diorama like Mr. Stay Puft got would go a long way.

Hmmm...I guess it depends on how he was animated. Strange. The picture of him in my mind was always with the small wings.

I always remembered him with the small wings.

80's cartoons were never known for their consistency.

I think they said around $80 ever since they announced him at SDCC last year, but they also said that price was not firm. Depending on the size and detail of the sculpt, I think he will be worth it. I really don't think he will sell very great at that price though.

During the toy fair 2012 walk through with Dan he hinted that his wing might be the same size of Drago-Man's.

I'm ok with it so long as his size and articulation justifies it. at least 6 points for both legs and 8 points for both arms (with ball jointed shoulders)

They have stated that the articulation will be similar to the giants.

As others said, 80$ was not final. Mattel said that from the beginning. Before they talked about price increases!

I would not be surprised if he would cost around 95$. I know there are hardcore fans who want him as figure, I like the character, too, but I'm not interested. It's just too expensive. With shipping & customs to Germany it would cost around 170$ total. I could get a sweet Mitchell & Ness jersey for that price! Or a Hot Toys figure.

But I hope there are numerous fans who buy him, it would be good for vehicles.

He's definitely one of my most-wanted figures. I hope they can still get him in around $80 though. Even if he's huge, too much more than that and less people are going to buy him.

Yeah I'm thinking given his rotocast nature that $80-$90 is going to be the magic number including shipping to still have the widest fan base possible purchasing him. I've wanted him ever since I saw the mini-comic so I'd buy him at $100 but lots of fans won't and honestly I can't really fault them for it. I still think they are making a huge mistake with not going green on the first run but a vote is a vote I suppose. My suggestion to Mattel would be that they start doing some mini-episodic features on his creation similar to the fluff pieces they are running for the hoverboard on Facebook at the moment.

do you think its a mistake from your personal taste? I think red is much more recognizable.

Red just looks better IMO, so I'm glad they did not go with green.

But the dinky wings look very lame to me. I know they've said they'll probably reused Draego-Man wings, but I think that's a bad choice.

News that he'll have something comparable to Tytus's articulation (no ball joints sucks BTW) makes me wonder how huge he will be to justify the $80-$100 number we've been chewing on for so long.

There is something to be said for getting the green version. His helmet was nicer, the scale more manageable, and he's drawn that way on the Preternia map! A hint of things to come?

Maybe Granamyr can include all those missing 2012 weapons to validate his cost...at least Draego-Man's weapons! It would make the most sense.

the colour of the dragon doesn't dictate the helmet sculpt or the scale.
