I'm really shocked and kinda disappointed that there was a greater variety of MOTU cosplayers at NYCC then Powercon this year. From a FIlmation Skele and Sorceress, a HORDE PRIME, and even a Catra based off someone's fan-art maybe?

I recently took some pictures of a lovely model named Ashley, dressed as Shower Power Catra, for the new "Cosplayer of the Month" feature on He-Man.org. Once a month, a different Cosplayer will be featured. You can see all of the pictures of Ashley at http://www.he-man.org/resources/archive.php?id=982

Ashley's a pretty righteous Catra.
Nice shot in front of the Monster in the Distillery District ;-)
Here's some pics of me (skeletor) and my buddy. Most of these are from the Calgary Expo. We're working on a He-Man fan trailer right now actually, should get some editing done over Christmas break. Let me know if you want our website addy. I'm not sure on the rules for posting websites.

I'm surprised there is not more MOTU cosplay
Skeleton-Warriors, Ra-Jar, Spinwit, Rock Golem, General Tartaran, Hawke, Slob-Boar, King Agho, Hunga the Harpy, Sh'gora, Masks of Power Demons, Nocturna, Lizzor, Sagitar, Crimson Fury, Lodar, Vizar, Angast, Negator, King Miro, Melaktha, Crystal-Man, ABC Giants, Stridor, Road Ripper, Land Shark
Most cosplay comes stuff that came out in the later 80s, or is something still really big now. Oddly you don't see a lot of cosplay from stuff from the early 80s. I would say it's the often skimpy outfits, but considering some of the stuff people cosplay as I doubt that has much to do with it.
You also don't see a lot of Ghostbusters cosplay, Thundercats, and G.I. Joe is spotty at best, Rainbow Brite you also don't see much of.
Also most cosplay is based on anime, video games, and comics. But even more interesting in those realms more iconic characters. For example you didn't much of Raven or Starfire till after the the Teen Titans cartoon, and more often than not the cosplay is based on those versions of the characters. And most of the young ladies who do watched it when they were younger.
Also He-man has this weird aura around it, most people know and recognize He-man, 'I have the power' etc but most people don't openly talk about it. This creates this thing were many feel most people aren't aware of it and it's some little cult following.
but most of the cosplay in here is pretty good. It's nice to see more of it popping up, years ago it was next to impossible to find cosplay of this property. Heck aside of this site it could be hard to find fan art also.

Positivity, folks!
Letīs all agree to love MOTU enough to let others love MOTU, too!
Some of those costumes are awesome, my favorites are those Trap-Jaw and Webstor from the first page. It's a shame nobody attempted any New Adventures cosplay.
