Army Builder/Multi-Packs...who do you want?

They haven't said yet. I'd guess Horde Troopers. One clean and one dirty/battle damaged.

Wouldn't making them different (however that's expressed) defeat the "army builder" idea?

Would it be a 2 pack with Hordak and a Horde Trooper? (That would serve as a re-release for Hordak) or would it be 2 Horde Troopers. That doesn't seem right to me. Why force people to buy 2 Horde Troopers? So, what who would the second figure be?

What about a horde trooper and a regular palace guard (pretty easy as the armour is similar to MAA)

aside from horde troopers/palace guards were there really any other big armies in MOTU?

But making them the same seems to defeat the purpose of a two-pack unless it's cheaper than $40.

I think an Eternian soldier vs a Horde trooper would be great.

Most of us wouldn't consider it being 'forced' into buying two Horde Troopers. Almost everyone wants a lot of that guy, and would welcome a 2 pack with open arms. If they do make two packs of them and you only want one, I promise you will have NO problem re-selling him to another one of us here!

I'm looking forward to them, but could do with out the palace guards.

Kinda torn on the Horde Trooper idea myself. Don't get me wrong. Want the horde trooper badly myself. but i kinda want him to hang with everyone else in a single carded way. Maybe for that one they could do a horde General or something. I could live with a Black or Red one I guess but I really want the white one up on the wall with everyone else.
but I take it as it comes.
They could do the royal guards though. The man at arm look alikes I mean.
Tough stuff to figure out. Hoover robots..That need to be a 3 pack

Ok, I'm totally sold on the Horde Trooper / Palace Guard 2 pack. Shoot, that would be awesome!!

I guess having a Horde Trooper 2 pack wouldn't be such a bad idea but I like a little variety.

I'd love to get a Horde Trooper, but since I don't play with my MOTUC figures or set them up in dioramas, I really don't have much need for packs of duplicate toys.

i'm in that boat too.

I'll usually buy one of each figure, and only buy duplicates of characters I really like. I like to display them & pose them, but to me buying packs of the same figure would be throwing away money that i can use to get new characters.

I'd rather have 4 diff figures than 4 Horde troopers, if you know what I mean. I still want at least one Horde Trooper though, and if they make them in packs of two, then i'll buy a two pack.

- Skeletor's skeleton warriors
- Horde Knights/Troopers (I want them in the MYP 'toon style, not robots.)
- Palace Guards

HORDE...TROOPERS...LOTS OF THEM.2 styles. The classic style, and an "old horde" style like the ones in the myp cartoon. why? because A: they're cool, B: they more closely resemble the ones from the beginning of secret of the sword and C:Customizing!

The grey palace guards we see in some of the lady bird books.
the Skelecons? the generic skeletor minions from the ladybird books that have kinda ram skull faces.
generic snake men...i suppose..

Here are some characters that would be really cool as army builders

:

Horde Trooper (obviously, for the Horde)

Slime Pit Mutant (bone warrior, for Skeletor)

Palace Guard (for the heroic warriors)

Snake Soldier (for the snakemen)

Shadow Beast

Mer People

Lizard men (Ceratus' people)

Bat men (cf. the 200x cartoon)

Feline people (Chief Carnivus' people)

I would buy Horde Troopers and Snake Men, but I'd probably give the Royal guards a skip-- I like my good guys to be hopelessly out numbered, and also they'd cut down on the stand-out coolness of Man-At-Arms.

Since Hordak originally owned the Slime Pit, shouldn't the monsters belong to him now? This is why we need Skeletor's bone warriors from the comics. Also, I'd be so happy if the made Sllohcin's Oozor (basically Slime Pit Monster He-Man from the mini comic).

Since Mer-Man is based on his card art, how about making his minions based on the classic toy. Give him Whiplash's forearms, Zodak hands, classic toy head, and color the loin cloth orange.

i'm not really into the army builder stuff myself, since I think it's a waste of money to buy the same toy twice, when i'd rather have two diff figures.....

but ..... i'm not opposed to buying two packs for generic guards & such. i'm certainly not going to go nuts buying a bunch of them if they're individually carded. which is why two packs for these would be better imo.

here's a few suggestions....

horde Troopers
Palace guards
snamemen warriors
Skeletor's hover robot knights (from filmation's Diamond Ray of Disapperance & other eps.)
some generic Avionians & Andreenids would be cool
slime pit mutant/skeleton warriors (from Roboto Gambit)
robot prison guards (from myp)
Merman's fish people (from Filmation's Teela's Quest. I'd love to have a couple of those) and mini fish people. lol

that's all i got for now....

Skeletor's Bone Warriors (200X)
Generic Snake Men (200X)
And since we're all talking about Horde Troopers, I'd like the 200X version of those as well.
