In Pixel Dan's review of the art book, he mentioned that Mattel was originally referring to He-Man as 'Vikor The Barbarian'. Well, Vikor is one of the trademarks that Mattel filed for at the end of December 2008.
Any thoughts? Do you think there be a Vikor figure?

I would say its a definite possibility. I could see Vikor being a bonus figure...or maybe a comic-con exclusive.

Might be cool if they did a version of some of He-man's earlier concept looks as Vikor and wove him into the story.
Do you think it's possible they may try to somehow tie-in Vikor with She-Ra's backstory? Like maybe an ancestor or something married to a Valkyrie? Not at all sure if that would work. hehe

I would be down with this. As long as he is in NO WAY related to He-Man or She-Ra, I would want him to be a stand-alone character. I think he would tie in well with guys like Fist, Ram-Man, etc.

They've mentioned doing a Demo-Man figure at some point, so I wouldn't be surprised if we also see Vikor in plastic form. Maybe his bio will flesh him out to be the Savage He-Man that gets the "extra" armor included w/ the Green Goddess.
Even better, it would be cool if Demo/Vikor was the very first 2 pack, "Concepts of MOTU" or some such like that.
For some reason, I love all the prototype ideas, and would really love to own a Vikor.

I'd like Vikor a lot - even though he STINKS of the old Marvel comics Conan the Barbarian. Especially if his helmet can be worn by he-man and other characters!
I'd be very excited to have a demo-man figure. His design is awesome. I get the impression Demo-man became beast man and skeletor though and that's how beast man was originally the main bad guy
Well, a Vikor and Demo-Man would be a great homage to the very beginning of the MOTU mythos, which was (at first) highly inspired by Conan indeed !
If they can make those figures more than just variants/repaints, it would be VERY interesting !
If there's a license for Vikor, I believe there will be a figure. We experienced the same thing with Wun-Dar, remember ? A license was discovered, and then shazam : a figure appeared.
I'm all for this idea. I'm sure this is what they mean when they say "new" figures in the MOTUC line. A Vikor or Demo-Man? Seems like an obvious choice for con exclusive or subscriber bonus somewhere down the line.

this was my thought as well.
i bet a demo-man/vikor 2 pack would not be a crazy idea. i give it a 50/50 chance at actually happening. perhaps at the next sdcc??

I would totally buy those figures if I was able to. I mean, with mattycollector.com you can never be too sure. And I would also prefer if the characters did not come with bios. I don't need them trying to "fit it in" to canon. Just say these were what were originally planned and I'd be good to go.
