Batros?

Just curious , like others there are some characters that i would love to see made?
Recently I have been looking at the Batros character?
LOL is he with the Horde? or lonely villian lol
Also I thought about a custom, I saw the recently pic from Mike Bock

here Mike has a great pic of Batros but in this pic he doesnt have the "bat-wings" in which I love! But the cartoon he does, so any input or thoughts? lol

Yeah....i want him, he´s his a cool character with huge potentiality for a great backgroundstory...

My personal backstory for Batros is that although Skeletor was Hordak's favourite pupil, he had another named Batros.

Batros' rivalry with Skeletor got out of hand so Hordak abandoned him on the dark side of Eternia.

When Hordak took Adora to Etheria and Skeletor set up on his own, Batros was left on Eternia and became an independent villain.


I'd love to see Batros as a MOTUC figure almost as much as other never produced characters like Shadow Weaver and Scorpia

Batros is a very cool looking character, I picture him like a Horde villain who works solo.
I would love to have his figure, thats for sure!

If you look closely at the Mike Bock pic, you can see that he does have the little underarm wings; they're black, so they kind of blend into the shadows, but it looks to me like they are there.

I like the independent approach for Batros. Not every villain should currently be aligned with a faction. Yes, have him be a former Horde member, but reflect his current position as a lone villain.

Agreed. I chose Horde Member, but I agree completely that if he was made, he should be left on Eternia, maybe accidentally, and has become his own man. But definately a Hordesman who struck out on his own is great.

Or a forward scout trapped on Eternia, still waiting for the chance to rejoin someday but working alone until that time, keeping tabs on things in his secret book to turn into Hordak sometime.

Mike Bock's version looks cool, but that's not really the look I envision for him. In my mind, Batros's design is very literal, going along the lines of Man-Bat from DC.

Plus, in my MOTU canon, Batros is one of the last surviving members of Hordak's race (perhaps Hordak killed them all?). He's a Preternian that's been in hibernation all this time. Thus, the bat symbol that he wears isn't a symbol of the Horde, but a symbol of his race, that Hordak simply uses as well.

In fact, the name "Batros" probably isn't even his real name, but rather the name of his species that he took on, as a tribute to that legacy, being one of the only surviving members.

The only distant cousins that the Batros (the race) would have, are the Spileans (the bat race from 200X). They are to the Batros, what the Reptons are to the Snake Men.

Hordak and Batros are aware of each other (especially since Hordak's rertun to Eternia), but basically steer clear of one another.

At least, that's how it works in my canon.

I'd like to see him at least start off as an independent villain. I see him as a fanatical Horde obsessed Eternian who possible joins the Horde once they are releases by Evil Lyn, much like Odiphus wants to join Skeletors warriors. But once he is a member he is looked down upon by Hordak and the rest of the Horde, much like Kobra Khan is by the SnakeMen.
One day he grows tired of this treatment and betrays Hordak by giving Skeletor some valuable information that ultimately leads to Skeletor becoming powerful enough to defeat his former master Hordak.

I like the idea of Batros being with the Horde. If not, then IMO, that emblem looks out of place & seems like a Batman Beyond rip-off (even though I am fully aware that Batros was created before Batman Beyond).
