    Teela's articulation

I just read this over at thefwoosh.com

    6. Will the MOTUC Teela figure’s outfit still allow for movement in the figure? The white part looks like it is all one piece with no signs of a waist swivel or ab crunch. Will the figure still retain this functioning articulation?

The sculpt does not allow for mid waist articulation. This was a design choice made by the Horsemen for the females.

    Alright, commence complaining in 3...2...1...

I like the crunch feature on the male figures, but honestly it's not a big deal to me on the females. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think they look better without it. I can understand why the 4H went this route.

I am glad they didn't give Teela the ab crunch articulation. Too much articulation on a female figure kills the sculpt.
Two thumbs up for the Horsemen.

I'm not complaining either. She's beautiful!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. wow, no waist articulation? I can understand doing away with the ab crunch, but no waist articulation is a bit crazy. Can't believe they'd do away with that but keep those ugly knee and elbow joints.

I don't mind not have the ab crunch but I'm not happy about no waist articulation. That's a bit of a cop out as Teela's always had it. Sounds like cost cutting

Is it possible she could still have the waist articulation, since the answer only states mid waist (which could be referring to the crunch)?

Look at the Adora... they may go a totally different direction for her sculpt but it's a good bet what they do on one of the female charaters is going to be the norm for all of them... Keepin a look out for how Evil Lynn will be done.

Hmm... got no problem with losing the ab-crunch, but twist-waist is something I'm definitely in favor of them keeping! Anybody know if they have really taken away the turnable waist?

I don't understand why they'd get rid of the waist swivel. It is only a slit and is not very noticable at all, it seems like a no-brainer point of articulation, especially at the thickest point of the figure!

Pretty much as others have said, I'm glad they didn't go with the ab crunch articulation, as I think it would have spoiled the figure.

I think they could have got away with the waist turn, but I can live without it - and it's awaiting varification anyway.

I don't have any complaints about the Warrior Goddess - she looks amazing.

I knew she wouldn't be able to twist at the waist since they showed her when she was all clay coloured. I was told to stop speculating at the time though.

I really hope they can fix it, because this is very disappointing. I'm glad the women won't have ab-crunch, but they need to twist at the waist. I mean....come on!

Ab crunch not that big of a deal. No waist swivel? That is just sad. The original figure had this as was stated before. Why not just a staction? That way you could fully flock her.

It is pretty obvious that Teela does not have the ab crunch and that SHE DOESN'T HAVE WAIST ARTICULATION EITHER. This has been clear to me since the day they showed it at SDCC. Even in the package the body is very clearly a solid piece of pink plastic painted white and gold. It's one single solid piece with no joints at all painted white and gold with arms and legs attached.

Personally, I don't see why they needed to ask the question. It's impossible that she has either the ab crunch or the waist articulation. While I am extremely happy she doesn't have the ab crunch the lack of waist articulation will limit posing a lot. Even the vintage one had waist articulation and these figures are advertised as fully articulated.

EDIT: They said "female" so I guess Adora, She-Ra and all POP will look have no waist articulation too.

I'm glad they didn't include the ab-crunch. Now if they could just remove it from the males (I think it would look better without it, and then all the full armoured figures would have 1 piece like the originals).

Teela looks amazing, and the 4horsemen never let us down.

'cause some folks thought it was possible she had a thin rubbery outfit on ala Giganta, but with hidden articulation underneath.
