BRAVESTARR in the MOTUC?

I always loved that MOTU universe was very anachronistic. We can see together people from the barbarian ages together with sci-fi technology. MOTU also includes knights, ninjas and cowboys.

When I was young I liked the Bravestarr figures but I passed on them because they weren´t MOTU staff. Now I see that they have a great potential and they can fit very well on MOTUC. Mattel is the owner of the toyline, so is very easy to expand the western MOTU toys.

I don´t oppose this idea, since Rio Blast can relate to those characters and I think it would be nice to see some of these characters done in Motuc style.
But I also say that Motuc has a universe so rich from where to draw characters from that it wont really need any characters from another lines, but I would certainly like to see a Motuc Tex Hex and Bravestar but not at the expense of some Motu characters, if they were like bonus figures I would be certainly interested.

Im with you, I like to see this characters in order to expand MOTU Mythos, but they have to be bonus figures.

I don´t have nothing against Barbie, I just don´t understand how you said to have Barbie in Motuc, to show that you are discontent for people liking the idea of Bravestar being added to Motuc.

Barbie can be He-Ro's secret lover (her aunt could be also green godess), while Ken should be He-Ro's semi brother as they look alike.

If Bravestar was added i do not see why we couldnt add something else as well...

So, following your reasoning, Superman never meet Heman in minicomics and that kind of stories are blasphemy...

For that reason He-Ro never must be part of MOTUC, because he is just an unproduced toy with only 1 cameo on MOTU minicomics.

Stonedar and Rokkon (and Meteorbs) never must be part of MOTU because they are an attempt from Mattel to copy the Transformers success.

The only reason because Bravestarr doesn´t belongs to MOTU franchise are due to enterprise decisions.

I love Bravestarr, I'd love to have a figure of him that's for sure.
Not that it will ever happen but it would be cool.

There were many great characters. Sandstorm was one of my favorites as well as Vipra.

Wasn't a crossover planned back in the day? I think I read something about that somewhere but don't remember where.

I think that the best way to look at all of these "what is such and such property was in MOTUC"-type questions is to hope that Mattel decides to a. relaunch said line and b. employ The Four Horsemen to sculpt the figures in a compatible scale/ style.

As I stated in the "Blackstar in MOTUC line" thread, I would say no to Bravestarr in the MOTUC line. There are still too many viable MOTU characters left to do in the line before it starts branching out into other lines and franchises. Maybe in 5 years when Mattel is down to releasing various Widgets and Trollans then we can discuss scouring other properties. But for right now I say concentrate on the MOTU.

Im totally agree. I don´t want that any Bravestarr figures takes the place of a MOTU (specially when I prefer POP characters), but I wonder if they can be done in a parallel line, with the same MOTUC style and totally compatible if they have the fan support.

This is a great idea - but, given that in the case of BraveStarr, the concept and characters were all Filmation-created with the toyline license given to Mattel (as opposed to MOTU and POP which were Mattel-created and turned into cartoons by Filmation), the characters are probably all owned by Entertainment Rights, and thus not realistically worth the expense to Mattel to re-acquire the license to make them.

I've always felt that Rio Blast never fit in MOTUC. I know MOTU seemed to stretch across alot of genres, but if an Egyptain Sorceress or Snake King is a huge stretch, I don't know how fans could accept American cowboys from Texas.

Oooh, I don't think Rio Blast will take too kindly on being demoted to the minor leagues of the Bravestarr universe. He would probably think it was beneath him and would think he was "slumming" it. I think he'd want to stay where the moolah and the dames are at...the MOTU universe (redundant?).

YES PLEASE!!!! A BraveStarr Classics Line that fit's well with MOTUC is definitely ACCEPTABLE!

I always considered BraveStarr as part of MOTU but just a different dimension or world. Which it is!

Why not a new toy line from Mattel for that kind of toys that Mattel own the rights, but don´t have the strength to be released alone?

I would call it MATTEL Classics.
