hahaha i did not see that! that is to funny!
So, I am sorry if this has already been posted, but I could not get that search function to work. I searched "Wun-Dar" and it only brought up some post in German. Anyways, I was looking at all the pictures I got from Comic Con and I noticed on the back of Wun-Dar, at the bottom of the sheath where he puts his sword, that there is the Wonder Bread dots (red, blue, yellow on white background). I think that just makes Wun-Dar 100% cooler! I cant wait to get him.

SLUSH HEAD FINALLY SHOWED UP IN MOTUC YAY!!!
There is a brand of bread called "Wonder Bread" and the colors of Wonder Bread (the packaging) is red, blue, and yellow on a white background.
Wonder-Bread He-Man (aka Savage He-Man) was a promotional figure for Wonder Bread...but I don't think anybody ever received one...(I could be wrong though).
Wun-Dar is the MOTUC version of that figure.
Here's the Wonder Bread Logo with the dots:

I'm wondering, how would they fit this in the MOTU continuity?...![]()
That was my question. Somebody mentioned he was a promo figure back in the 80's but was never released. (correct?) And out of the blue we get him in the Classics line. So, I'm wondering....how will he fit in? Was he ever in the comics? (mini or otherwise?)
Rumor Mongering at its worst. The fact that some fans over the past 20 years actually own the vintage figure we call "Savage He-Man" means it was released, somehow.
The question has *always* been how was it released. Was it a bootleg? Was it an international, licensed figure? Was the Wonder Bread concept just someone misremembering a trading card offer for an actual figure mail-away? Did it really come with the black Zodak armor and Grayskull weapons, or did someone add those because they worked with the naked figure?
These questions will likely never be answered. Mattel has absolutely no record of ever producing a brown-haired, black armored He-Man repaint, and no packaged example has ever been found to put the figure into context.
For the MOTUC line, Mattel is celebrating the original Wonder Bread rumor, despite its apocryphal nature.
thanks for the pic! I knew you had bread called that there (because of this figure) but i never would've known about those colours otherwise!
That makes me like this figure even more. The loaf of bread is the reason i subscribed to begin with. I just wish subscribers could buy him twice without getting another sub. I want a MOC one
Wun-Dar is truely the Dan Hibiki of MOTU! Absolutely love him!
Didn't that black armor come in the 80's weapon's pack? I remember some type of armor being in there.
That is a cool nod to the urban legend but it kind of screws up the color scheme (red, blue, yellow with a white background on a black backpack). Oh, well. I can pretend its the exhaust ports on his nuclear-powered jet pack.

He's a character from the Street Fighter video game series.
2 of the main characters of the series are Ryu and Ken, both of whom have similar moves/attacks. Dan was sort of a parody of them that came in later in the series. His moves are much weaker, but he is much more arrogant and 'full of himself' than they could ever hope to be. Ryu and Ken have the power to throw fireballs. Dan can make one as well, but it's much smaller and only goes a very small distance before disappearing into nothing.![]()
