Considering that they might not be doing vehicles/Granamyr sized beast in 2014 or an additional 6 figures like the 30th anniversary, Mattel might have the budget to make a few 100% tooled characters since those things are no longer a factor. This is all speculation until we see what is coming in July.

Where are you reading this? I read this:

All Club subscribers will receive early access to all non-subscription products! That means you’ll have the chance to purchase hot items not available through subscriptions before non-subscribers regardless of the brand. And if they sell out to subscribers during the limited access period, that’s it – no additional product will be made available to non-subscribers at that time!

Non subscription to me means more like if they do a Granamyr type character next year.

I'm reading this:

All figures ... will also be available at MattyCollector.com around the 15th of each month without the membership. Provided they haven’t sold out during the Early Access period, non-subscribers will have the chance to buy these figures...

It's Mattel's new "buy a sub or you will miss out" tactic... Now sub holders can get an early shot at buying extra figures before sale date... Mattel knows they will sell out and leave cherry pickers with nothing. It's basically a slap in the face to those who don't get the sub. It doesn't matter, I'll be going on ebay to buy the ones I want.

Finally, Ram Man! He looks great and surely the most posable RM to date! I hold out hope that we will see the card back colors one day, I'm sure it's on the quarterly variants list.

My concern is if it's that easy to assemble his legs wrong, I can just imagine the little chinese kids making the same mistake on thousands of Ram Mans. Speaking of which, who the heck puts the SDCC showpieces together???

Really? I thought he's more a cross between Marlon Brando and French Stewart. In a good way of course.

You're probably right. I think I got Deniro because he kind of resembles the "Goodfeathers" Pidgeon "Bobby" from Animaniacs more than the real deal.

Instead of giving Ram-Man a second almost identical unhelmeted head.. wouldnt it have been simpler to make the helmet removable?

I think i would have rather had a removable helmet that two head and part of the helmet still on the one. I had a hard time seeing his joints earlier today and was worried he wasn't articulated... glad that is not the case.
