shipped on the 13th of Jan arrived Feb 6, a week early.. go figure

Hey Balthus, I also posted on your thread on Matty. To be honest, I'm underwhelmed by the response by my fellow Canadians concerning this matter. If you guys haven't posted on there yet, please do so unless you want to throw your money away. Don't be a sheep. As far as I'm concerned, everyone who has posted on this .org thread should be posting on this Matty thread. Go to Matty, create an account and let them know you don't like having to sell your left ear just to cover some insufficiently explained "magic costs" padded over top of our actual shipping costs.

so checked on matty and the shipping for Jitsu and rammy is 21.70 one fig was 9.00 bucks i think last year.. or 8.90

it's now 13.75 for one.. then an extra 7.95 for the second figure.. DAMN!!!!!! 21.70 to ship 2 figs.. my buddy from San Diggy shipped 2 figs and a few other items a few months back for 14.00 USPS.. what service are these guys using .. this is getting to be insane..

Thanks man! It took a ridiculous 2 weeks to get an initial reply so hopefully we get another one soonish. As long as we don't let the thread die, we might get some answers.

I'm glad you posted this, because I was curious. I switched my shipping to DHL for now and it was $26 to ship Rammy and Jitsu. Depending on what costs I incur in brokerage, I may or may not keep DHL.

i can understand the 26 because it ships to you in 5 days.. this 21.70 takes 4-6 weeks insane.. i'm really lost for words.. I've emailed DR 5 times.. posted 2-3 times on Matty forums and to no avail. it's like smashing your head against a wall

I'm just going to have to play the patience game and wait for deals on eBay. If I am going to pay that kind of money, I am not waiting a damn month or more to get the damn thing. I get to save money this way too, that at least feels pretty good.

DHL brokerage for my netossa was $10 plus GST. So not too terrible but still not great. But like I've said before, it sure takes a load off my mind not knowing where my figures are for a month.

I cleared Netossa on my own, and only had to pay $4.96. However, DHL still tried to charge me duty and taxes on it. I still haven't gotten that sorted out with them yet...despite e-mailing them my receipt from Canada Customs, they won't respond...so I still don't have Netossa. It's being held at the local Loomis depot, which can't help me out, because all they do is warehouse for DHL.

Hey Gang..

as most of you know us Canadians along with the Euro and International MOTU family are really getting hit with high shipping costs and it's getting nuts and no one is giving us answers.. so i would like to purpose something..

the fact that Matty and DR do not post the amount on the box shipped to their customer is concerning.. as we have no idea what the true charge is..

my question is..

i was just shipped the FEB order Ram man and Jitus 22 bucks. INSANE.. i'm only in Canada, so with that being said. if any Kind US orger when they are picking up their shipment, could you be kind enough to ask the post office to price out what it would cost to ship that same box to lets say Toronto Canada??

I'm very curious what the actual cost is.

I still can't believe it's $30 to ship 3 figures. With every figure added, the shipping price jumps around $8. How does that make any damn sense??? And if Matty/DR doesn't respond or care, is there anywhere else we can turn that might?

Nowhere. The thing is I am lucky enough to not spend this money as I didn't sub. IF I did sub, I would be canceling my credit card. This company is lying to their US customers, and international customers and don't care about service. It is all about $$. I will be glad when this line ends for I don't feel like I have to buy certain figures and pretty much letting them rob me. It is getting bad when ordering from EBAY is becoming the easiest/cheapest way to get these things.

Yep, I just got my notice, shipping for jitsu, ram man and phantom stranger (DCIE), matty is charging $30. That's pretty insane, that's pretty much how much sideshow was charging to ship one large format statue, and I can guarantee you the box and weight are much much bigger than matty's stuff. I really don't see the benefits of combine shipping! Its ridiculous, we are getting charge the same amount of money as with somebody living in Asia!!!

Now im a little scare how much shipping would be when fighting foe men comes out!

Yes and I encourage everyone to continue posting on the same thread that Balthus started earlier (found here: http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve...408#3531001408) to keep bumping it to the top as "MrResolution" keeps posting his generic "Sorry about your problem. We'll send you an e-mail." post bumping the thread down. Remember, try to keep it civil. No threats or coarse language. Put something relevant. Don't just put "bump". I don't want to give them any excuse at all to shut down the thread and you can be sure that they're probably looking for one. If you feel emotional, wait until you calm down to post. We need to keep clear heads and see this thing through.

Yep, just posted at the Matty forum! It really irritating that I get better shipping rates from ebay sellers than from Matty! Heck, I ordered a barbie doll on Feb 5, and got the doll today and the seller only charge like $10!

The idiotic thing about these insane shipping costs to Canada is it might be cheaper for me to drive my car to Blaine, WA (I live in Vancouver, about an hour from the US border), rent a post office box there, and have my sub delivered there instead so I can use the cheaper US shipping costs.

Huge hassle obviously so I highly doubt I would ever seriously consider such a thing BUT the fact I even thought of this shows how frustrated I am about our unfair shipping rates.

I encourage you guys to keep posting about it in the Matty/DR forums. The issue doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon and it's only going to get worse with the Filmation subs add on.
