I SLIGHTLY disagree, I'm by no means an NA fan, but I like how the NA characters have turned out, that said I wouldn't miss flipshot at all if they didn't make him, but I think the mutants (though I have very little connection to them) are a great addition, i always thought they had potential, if only they were done like the vintage line, now they essentially are. so I'm good with them being there, the galactic guardians however, most are so boring. gi joe/centurion guys. I've never been into those lines.

to me including the NA line is like: Hey, remember where we had no clue what we were doing and were willing to try ANYTHING to get you to spend more of your money on He-Man toys becuase the line was going under? even when there were cooler, bigger toys lines out and on the way ... like TMNT, Power Rangers, Thundercats? ..... ya, well, we're bringing them back! ....

As a fan it's like Mattel, seriously, dont. We were embarrassed then, and we are still embarrassed for you now just forgive and forget.... quit while you're ahead, focus on motu, filmation, 200X and she-ra That's plenty.

Retiring the 200X look for some makes sense, but then sticking with the NA? .... seems rather odd.

For the record Thundercats was dead when NA came out. And if I recall the NA line came out 2 years after the original line was finished. but yeah NA was such a bad choice for Mattel to make back then. I know it has it's fans and more power to them, but it was an abject failure commercially. 200X WASN'T until Mattel policies and practices made it one. big difference between the two failing.

Sorry brother,, gotta disagree with you on this one.

NA was a flop yes. can't argue that... but the characters and ideas were there, part of the motu line. more characters for a line only means one thing... MOTUC is around longer.. and the fact that they can make this fig all the same being NA or POP or MOTU is a great selling point.. but if you have ever seen characters like TOO TALL HOOVE these are great ideas, i just think that in the 80's it was poor execution... but today.... WELL DONE!

Outside of the (imo) boring human characters in NA, my biggest issue was that they weren't executed as well as the toys in the original line. the sculpts were worse overall. I wondered HOW? don't things like this get BETTER overtime? and I was a kid!!

I love all the NA figs thus far. I think the show sucked, but the concepts of the characters are really awesome IMO and I'm glad to have 'em in MOTUC.

well my friend.. personally nothing against new toys but older toys were always better the fact that why aren't NA better than MOTU because NA came after MOTU is hard pressed because you could also say why arn't new Star Wars figs better then the old ones.. well late 70's and early to mid 80s where the climax of toys IMHO thats when they were made to a level that will never be hit again.

but the concept behind NA was great.. they just fell on it, can't win em all

I liked the NA show when I watched it a couple years ago on DVD and I think the MOTUC figures so far have been great! I can't wait for Sagitar, Mara, Crita, Staghorn or Battle Blade Skeletor. Those figures are going to be amazing if/when they get made!

Personally I think the new star wars figures are way better than the old! and Classics at least looks wise are way better than the vintage, even better than 200X (though overall i still prefer 200X designs)

Fo NA i'd love to get Sagitar because I'm a sagittarius but I want him to look a lot better than the vintage toy in execution, don't get me wrong, it was a great concept and looks alright, but they can make it much better and honestly it just looks WEIRD having he-man ride him

    Hi All

First post on this thread. I actually got my figures in this past week. I picked up Man at Arms, Stinkor and Mighty Spector. I haven't had a chance to take them out of the packages yet but I like each one. I do have a question though. Does anyone know why on the bottom of the Stinkor white mailer it says Lieutenant Spector? I am just curious since after reading the bio it mentions nothing about Spector. Cheers.

Welcome to the boards, The brand Manager Scot Neitlich AKA Toyguru says they do that to keep the trademarks active, it has nothing to do with the figures or anything else, it just keeps the trademark belonging to mattel. I don't know why they went with LT Spector though as it's in print already on Spector's bio.

anyway thats the reason, have fun!!

    Mine arrived on Tuesday!

As for the NA debate - bring 'em on! I too hated the NA line when it first came out, but the characters are all translating brilliantly to classics so far, and I'm sure they will continue to do so.

Non-sub Spector and Snake Mountain Stands arrived today.

I echo the sentiment of bringing on more NA figs. Looking forward to Hydron!

I got my Stinkor and Slush Head yesterday. No Spector yet. I have both the Club Eternia sub, and the 30th anniversary sub. I thought that the two subs were supposed to have started shipping together by now???

Yes they should have all shipped in the same box, i personally have 1 30th sub and eternia sub and they shipped together. you may want to call Matty and find out what happened, where you charged for 2 seperate shippings?

one reason for this is you may have chosen two different shipping methods when you locked in to your subs.
IE regular mail for one and UPS for another, if that is the case they would have shipped in different times, but if you picked the same shipping method for both subs,, i'd call em up and ask what happened.

    Hope this helps.

Got my figures Friday! Gotta say i wasn't excited for Stinkor, but wow am i impressed with him, the orange and black just pop in person. Funniest thing happened when i opened Spector, my wife actually thought he was deadpool, she was a little confused why i wasn't putting him on my X-Men shelf with the other deadpool.

my figures showed up last wednesday ... didnt report it when it happened ... had wisdom teeth removed, and im a pretty big guy ... muscle wise ..... and they didnt know how much whatever to give me to make sure i stayed under. I woke up 48 hours later, with no balance at all, and a complete inability to remember current events..... lol ... i snapped out of it yesterday.

My day of purchases arrived today. I got Stinkor (already switched the forearms, now need to paint them), Slush Head (kinda regretting that purchase a little now that he's in hand), and Jay Garrick (I like this figure even more now that I have him in hand).
