Awesome! How far did you go? I really like the area around Deer Lake to Rocky Harbour.

I used to live in Ottawa, so I've only had one order to Newfoundland. That took about four weeks. Sir Laser Lot shipped about five weeks ago now, and still no sign of him showing up.

My BBTS order only took about two weeks. My amiami order was only about one week! Somehow toys from Japan show up much, much quicker than toys from the U.S.

I went to St. John's. To keep this on topic, I left a week after Matty had shipped me a Grizzlor replacement. I drove to NL, slowly, was gone for two weeks, and when I got back I still didn't have Grizzlor. An orger shipped me another figure right when I got back, and I got it the next week. Still no Grizzlor from Matty! Finally got it the week after that. So...is Sweden worse at 3-4 weeks, or was DR shipping it from the US worse when it sometimes took longer? I don't know, but both options suck. What I do know is it shouldn't take any longer than two weeks, tops.

Nice work AGE... but I'm sure we'll get the standard non-answer answer.

I actually don't think that specific question has ever been answered, despite a few of us posting about it numerous times. I think we should just keep asking until they answer us.

If you can provide an exact shipping number and order number we can look into this. Otherwise I don't have enough info to review this with DR.

There is not shipping number just an order number, but there is no need to request all of this, simply ask them about Canadian Shipping they are doing it to all of us.. but i came back with

ok, as Canadians we have asked this question more times then i can count and it's always ignored. Please read the question and advise.

All packages that are shipped to Canada for some reason are being shipped to Sweden and then shipped back to Canada, hence the 30+ days to arrive.

I don't know if Digital river thinks because Canada is "International" that we are located in Euro somewhere..

they do know that we are located just over the US boarder right???

shipping from Cali or wherever in the US to Canada should not not more then 10-14 business days to arrive via international Post.

Can someone please look into this and advise as it's getting very frustrating that no one answers our questions

St. John's is a pretty nice area as well. I don't get down that way often. I completely agree, shipping shouldn't take longer than two weeks. Ebay orders from the U.S. generally take about that long.

And to update, no Sir Laser-Lot again today. I'm thinking I'll buy Frosta from the secondary market at this rate.

I used UPS and got smacked for $25. mek and 2 packs of snake men. Worth it this month though, I don't want a big package like that floating around in limbo, plus there's the possibility of waiting a month or more and getting hit with customs anyway. Will likely UPS this month as well.

Thanks Whiplash7. I'm in Vancouver, so I'm close enough to the border that I'm considering shipping them to the US and picking them up. Trying to figure out if that or UPS would be the better option.

There was taxes / duty - package was over $300. It will get hit either way. But no brokerage fees since Mattel uses old UPS economy which is expedited now - which includes brokerage, and the bond fee doesn't apply, I have a UPS account for these shippments. Canada Post would have hit for 8.50 brokerage, and the difference in shipping was 21.00 in cost to deliver in two days, vs one + month.

It is worth 21 to keep 300 + safe in transit, and if there were any black plastic issues...I was covered. Surprisingly there isn't any!!! Every snake man is perfect, Meckaneck and DB as well. I got really lucky!

So, after getting nowhere with TG I decided to email DR about the Sweden thing. They got back to me today:

Your mattycollector.com subscription is being delivered via USPS
Internation al Post. Delivery time varies depending on the local
courier. USPS ships to the country and then the package is delivered per
local delivery standards. The shipment does not have a tracking number
associated with it so we are unable to verify if the packages are being
shipped to Sweden before going to Canada.

Have shipments to Canada ever gone by USPS? I've been more of a casual fan, so I've only lately been getting more figures, but I did get some of the early ones back in 2009. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like they've ever come from USPS, always from some other carrier (Mail on the Move, this one from Sweden, etc.)

i didn't know that's what that thread was about! I thought zig zags (aside from rolling papers) might have been some acrylic case people are buying! thanks for tuning me in!!
