Netossa arrived yesterday for me, and from Sweden no less.

Got a reply from them. Now I'm just shaking my head. Why would there be a Swedish post office in LA that says MALMO on their postmarks? Why would we receive our shipments at the same time as people overseas!?
We have the evidence in the tracking number.

"We have forwarded the information you provided to our shipper for
investigation. I thank you for providing me with this information. I
can confirm the Swedish post mark is due to our shipper processing the
shipments through the Swedish Post Office in LA, and then they are sent
to Canada.

If we can be of further assistance, please reply to this message. When
replying, please be sure to include this and any other pertinent
correspondence in your message."

I sent them even more info about SEMMA, and our wait times, in response.

"While I am unsure how the Swedish postal service routs mail I have been
assured by our shipping company that the shipments are sent from the
Swedish post office in LA to Canada. How or why the mail shows a post
mark for MALMO is currently being looked into, however I would recommend
that you contact the Swedish postal service directly for additional
information on how they handle packages. We are aware that shipping
packages in this manner provides our shipper the cheapest price and
enables us to pass those savings on to you, our International customer."

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not really feeling the 'savings' here.

Gonna ask him for info on the Swedish post office.

Got my Netossa in BC. Pretty much a "whatever" figure for me, and I'm a POP fan too. Face sculpt is awesome, but the fly swatter look is lame, and the lack of accessories is a deal breaker.

It was noted awhile back that this happens (maybe Toyguru at some point). It might even be mentioned in this thread if you go back far enough. It makes no sense and I have never heard of this before.

I am soooo glad I live right on the Canada/US border so I can have my stuff shipped to the UPS store in NY state. It helps me avoid the BS you guys have to go through every month.

What matty claimed before was that our packages are being handled by a Swedish shipping company, but that the packages were NOT being physically shipped to Sweden. We know now that this is false, hence their investigation.

i think you should ask them about the date of the shipment.

there is around 2 weeks gap between the shipping notice and the day the package left the "swedish post office in LA".

Also, we have the name "Sonny Heil" who apparently signs for our packages (at least all of mine have been) at the distribution center.

I went to the online Mattel shop, and put two DCUC figs in my cart. As a Canadian customer, these were the options given to me:

Purolator Ground Service - $11.98
Purolator Air Service - $16.85

If I had the extra scratch I'd order them just to see how fast they come.

This whole situation is ridiculous, why do they use 'mail on the move'?!

I guess they are aptly named as our packages move ALL over the place before they reach our doorsteps.

All this hounding them for answer is really pointless...DR is a drop ship company and has two "piles" when it comes to postal orders - US and "international" it is quite simple...everything non US is most likely sent in a large crate to Sweeden and then "mailed" from there. They may put the sweedish postage on the packages in LA and then they go in an aircraft crate to be transferred to Sweeden. This is not going to change. They made the change to Sweeden for Canada shipping last Jan for a reason...it is not likely to go back.

Just talked to my wife and it seems that Netossa has finally arrived. And it only took 7 days after the other people in the Lower Mainland got theirs! Thank-you Mattel, Digital River, Swedish Post Office, Mail-on-the-Move and Canada Post (did I forget anybody?) for the most ridiculous shipping/mailing service there is.
