According to the UK thread, Spikor has arrived there with the cheap shipping. I'm glad for them, but the wait for us is unacceptable. I suggest we pepper the Matty forums with questions about shipping to Canada, with "Canadian customers" and "shipping" in the title so TG sees them all and gets the point, esp. with subs on the line. I'm posting my question now, and hope to see more of you do the same. =)

sweedish spikors makes me wonder though.. what type of shipping method they use?? is it USPS???? if it was it would arrive in 7-10 days.. and that's not it... so what other options would matty use for cheap international shipping to Canada considering we're really not that far away... buddy sent a package regular shipping from Cali to Ajax via USPS took 6 business days.. so i still scratch my head wondering what option do they use.. Turtle Express

They use a service called "Mail on the Move". Which apparently routes packages through Sweden. Which would explain why the UK gets theirs first. If all int'l packages go through Sweden, they'd get to the UK a lot faster than all the way back to Canada.

Their Canadian shipping process is like flushing money down the toilet.

Yeah, I really don't understand why they ship our stuff from the Swedish place. Logistics? I mean, wouldn't it make way more sense to ship international post from within the US? It's just stupid.

So, I called Mattel/Digital River about my parcel that hasn't arrived yet (43 days since it was shipped). I was told by the rep she has to e-mail the higher department and they will get back to me withing 5-7 business days. She said she would send the e-mail within 10 minutes and I should see a confirmation in my e-mail. So, we'll see what happens.

i was checking the rate of the Sweden Post Office. their rate for shipping a box with one figure to north america is somewhere around 23eruo. i really don't see how they can save money by shipping all the canadian packages to sweden and ship back to north america, unless they have a deep discount that we don't know about.

Someone on the Ask Matty forums asked that exact question but it has yet to be answered. I think it's a great point, and Mattel should look into the possibility of shipping USPS or something from the US.

My MOTUC packages this year have all come from the U.S., not Sweden. ...... but mine have all been DOS, not sub. People who have got stuff coming from Sweden, what was it? sub or DOS?

P.S. my stuff has had a little white sticker sayin "if undeliverable send to Malmo, Sweden" but they definitely came from California.

My stuff has all been DOS as well, and it's all come from Sweden. I've had them delivered to Ontario and Newfoundland, and Sweden every time.

The majority of my packages as of late have been marked from Sweden, too. It's absolutely ridiculous that the UK/EU folks get their packages before we do.

And, all the Canadian questions seem to be ignored on Matty. Pffffft.

Thanks marndt8448! I've been freaking out because I haven't been able to read the second mini-comic yet! Out of all the parcels to get lost, of course it had to be the one I was really excited to get (mini-comic + Horde Prime = awesome). I'm REALLY hoping everything is okay this time. I mean, I have very few parcels coming this time. That should help.

I live in Vancouver as well. Still no Spikor on my doorstep yet either. Three to four weeks seems to be my usual waiting time.

Ironically, when I was working in the Philippines last year and all my Matty packages sent there were faster than the ones being sent to my Canadian address. I assume it's that whole Sweden thing?

it was usually around 2 weeks before they started shipping the Canadian packages to sweden first. now it is over 3 weeks to a month to get here.

    Non-sub Swedish Spikor arrived today.

Admittedly, that is faster than usual (just over two weeks since it shipped), but it's still bizarre that multiple European countries got it first. At the same time, when it used to ship from the US it took forever. What are we to do? Just suck it up I guess.

A few of us have asked about this on the Matty forums but nobody ever answers.
