Just wondering if anybody buys any of the Hot Toys stuff?
I just got the Iron Man Mark III and I wanted to geek out with somebody.
I also have the Mark I on the way and have my eye on the T-600.

I love Hot Toys! By far the nicest 1/6 figures on the market (and you certainly pay for em haha...) I haven't picked up any of the Iron Man figures yet, though the Mark 1 looks amazing! Here are some pics of the figs I have. There are a few Medicom Real Action Heroes mixed in as well:

Is that the Joker figure with the moving eyes that was posted here some time back?
Oh man, I want that Predator!
Yeah! That is great Predator and yer gonna have a predator, it's gotta be the first one.
Nice collection He-Lurker! I especially like the Batman and original Predator.
My problem with the 'clothed' figures, though nice is that they just don't look right to me and look too doll like.
Of they never can get the clothes right as the cloth they use is still gonna be full size.
I've never owned a Hot Toys product before but I'm a little underwhelmed with my Iron Man Mark III. The colour is not the correct red, which makes him look more plasticy and his human head is too big. The packaging is great though but I might sell this one in exchange for the battle damaged version. What do you guys think?

The thriller Micheal Jackson that is coming out looks amazing.
I wish I had held off on the DCD Dark Knight 12 figures and got the Hot Toys versions...

mmm...that Batman does look rather tempting.
But that one is the Batman Begins one right He-Lurker?

I bought all three of the classic Planet of the Apes figures.
Gorilla Soldier
Gorilla Captain
General Ursus
They are hands down the best Apes ever made! Just unbelievable...
I hope we'll see a Roddy McDowall soon, along with Dr. Zaius and Zira.
Pics man??
These are dangerous figures to getting fond of I tell ya!

The Hot Toys stuff is amazing. It's just a little too expensive for my blood. But I would LOVE to have the Dark Knight Two-Face! That thing is sweet.
My buddy Devall loves these though. Here is his TNTS review of the Mark III Iron Man:
We'll actually have a review of Mark II Iron Man up on the site next week, too.![]()

I totally agree with you. These are a little too expensive for me too. I actually haven't nor will I ever pay for any Hot Toys.![]()
The Iron Man I just got is nice but I am glad I didn't pay for him or the Mark 1. 100 is a lot for a figure. I'd pay maybe 60 but 100 is just too much even if I was minted.
Just this minute I popped down to my local to pick the Dark Knight figures up for a look that's on display.
Didn't like the Dark Knight Batman, too rubbery and the face was very pale.
The Joker is nice but yes the Two-Face is very nice indeed. The clothes thing bothers me though.
Can you post your Hot Toys reviews here from now on Dan please? They are good reviews.![]()

Pics of the battle damaged Iron Man Mark III are released!

I gotta say that prefer this to the one I got last week. May sell it off to get this one.
I just hope it's got the proper red colour this time.

That battle damaged Iron Man looks great! Definitely prefer it to the original one.
The Predator figure is amazing! He looks spot on. He even has replaceable mandibles to give him the closed mouth look. You can put on his mask, and it even has a light up laser in it! If you're a Predator fan, this is a must buy!
No, sadly, it's not. It's the original released Joker body with the Bank Robber Joker head on it. The Bank Robber Joker head is a far superior sculpt than the first, however, the moving eyes Joker is definitely the definitive version. I'm not sure if he's even out yet.
Devall just posted his review of the Mark I Iron Man. Check it out!

His oppening statement is spot on! Once you have one Hot Toy, you are hooked!
Good little review there, thanks for posting.
I guess up next is gonna be the T-600?
Edit: I've been offered the T-600 (human skin) that's just out.
Do I want the exclusive version or the regular version?

Here's a review of the T-600:

Looks like the only difference between the regular and exclusive is the exclusive comes with an extra face mask. Might as well get the exclusive for that, but it's not that big of a difference.

Couldn't find another Hot Toys thread, so I am digging this one up from the past.
Any fellow Hot Toys collectors lurking here at the org?
Sallah
I don't buy Hot Toys beyond a few parts for customs. I think $200 for a $40 toy is just wrong.
I only have Christopher Reeves Superman and I have pre-ordered new TDKR - Batman DX. I wish I could get the Bat Pod and CatWoman, but with upcoming CG, I need to seriously think about it. Also next year they may develop Man Of Steel figures, and I do want to check what they may come up with
I have Sideshow G.I.Joe Duke and Cobra Commander, although I do really wish they were from Hot Toys

Eamon has a great collection of them.
I know Eamon is nuts for these guys. Him talking about them in such high regard is one of the things that got me started. My collection is starting to shape up.Here's a nifty little 360 degree panorama I did with my iphone a couple of months back (I've had a couple more acquisitions since doing this)-

Man, are we talking about the same Hot Toys?We are each entitled to our own opinion, and I am not trying to change your mind... but these are well beyond being $40 toys in my eyes. The Mattel 12" figures (Superman, Ghostbusters, etc)? Yeah, those have the craftsmanship of $40 toys. But Hot Toys? The sculpts, the outfits, the accessories... All are on a much higher level. These aren't just toys- They are miniature works of art. But again... That is just my opinion.
For those who might not familiar with Hot Toys though, my sons and I have done a few video/ photo reviews if anybody cares to see more:
Hot Toys MMS 103 X-Men Origins Wolverine
Hot Toys MMS 152 Christopher Reeve Superman
Hot Toys MMS 180 Captain America Rescue Uniform Version
Hot Toys Iron Man MMS Avengers Special Edition Mark VI
Hot Toys DX08 Jack Nicholson Joker
Hot Toys DX09 Michael Keaton Batman
