    I won't boycot anything.
I'm simply buying figures I like and don't buy the ones I dislike
Like... Metorbs, I won't buy those no matter what, even if it kills the line.
I'm not spending my hard earned money on things I hate.

As for Panthor, I'm buying him flocked or unflocked.
According to TG, it's simply just not possible to flock so I'll buy one and look into custom flocking one myself as I want a flocked and am barely posing the cat anyway...
    It's Panthor regardless.
This is most likely just one of those many figures that we have to custom to get what we really want.
Probably have to cut those big fangs short as well...

For me, it all depends on how he looks. I trust the Horsemen to do a good job sculpting him so that he doesn't look like a simple BC repaint.

As I mentioned yesterday, I'll be disappointed if he's not flocked. But given the issues they ran into with Moss Man in regards to the flocking/articulation, I can't imagine Panthor wouldn't have the same issues. Saying they original and the 200X were isn't the same thing, because they both had much less articulation than this version will.

Getting two versions of Panthor at the same time I can say with almost 99.9% certainty is NOT going to happen.

Really people, if whether or not he's flocked is the be all and end all of your world, your priorities are a little skewed.

I'd say people might be worrying for nothing at this point because we haven't even SEEN what he's going to look like yet. He might look so awesome that even the naysayers now are blown away. We simply don't have enough (re:any) info to judge at this point, other than TG said he wasn't going to be flocked.

If they can't flock him, at least make him translucent.

I'd prefer him to be unflocked... Flocked figures are so hard to clean and keep dust free.

To be honest, I'll buy him anyways if he's not flocked.

I'll just cry a little every time I look at him on the shelf.

If Panthor is not fully flocked, then I won't be getting him. I guess my Skeletor will just have to walk.

Flocking is cute but I care more about sculpt and articulation. I don't want to buy a unarticulated flocked panthor that will eventually end up going bald.

I want good articulation and great sculpt first and foremost.

I'm the sort of person Mattel love - at the end of the day, I'll buy anything with a MOTUC label on it!

But I really would like him flocked - as he's bigger and bulkier than Moss Man, I'd hope (maybe naively) that there wouldn't be so much problem regarding articulation.

But at the end of the day... whatever the release, I'll go with!

Yeah...I'll still get him. I will be dissapointed at the lack of flocking. But, I'll still want him as part of my collection.

Guys...if you want him flocked, you can hold out for the later re-release.

That is IF you don't get won over once you've seen him painted.

IF we get Panthor, I'll be pleased and will buy him. While I would generally prefer a flocked Panthor as I collect MOC anyway, as long as he looks good with the sculpt and paint I won't be upset.

Flocking him would be a great nod to the 80s and 200x lines, but people are also insistant about not losing articulation. I think as others have said, a partially flocked Panthor would look a bit odd. Mossman was another story...

On a side note, there are just some nods to the other lines that I can live without, ie Webstor not wearing his armor in the package! C' mon!
I'm hoping for a Disco Skeletor for the next subscription exclusive! Fully flocked!

I'd rather he get a totally different saddle/armor than Battle Cat over flocking.

I agree. Keeping this in perspective, an un-flocked Panthor doesn't sound
as bad as everyone is making it out to be, nostalgia aside if Panthor is
utilizing Battle Cats highly detailed sculpt then it truly isn't all that bad.

The sculpt is highly detailed, if he were to be flocked some of that
detail would be lost. As long as they give us a stellar paint job
then it should be easy to win over those currently upset over this
    news.

I will not boycott Panthor in any way. I am with the crowd that will miss the flocked feline however I started thinking a bit more about the unflocked look and I am sure it will be fine. What makes me think this way is Beastman. He is supposed to be a fuzzy guy and yet he is not flocked. He looks good that way though and I am sure Panthor will not disappoint when we see the final critter. I just hope the cats dont have loose ankle/shoulder joints. It would be a shame to see them droop or fall over when a figure is in the saddle.

I'm disappointed that Panthor won't be flocked, but I understand the whys and even agree withy Mattel's thinking on the matter. Still, I will be ready and willing the day Panthor hits Matty. I'm in, regardless.

not me..i am buying 3 when he comes out

i HATE flocking especially on panthor. he would just be a dust magnet.

the sculpt on the new BC is AMAZING why try and hide it with flocking? i was angry when the 2002 version ended getting flocked as well.

    long live naked panthor!!!!!
I want NA Skeletor and Rio Blast and I want them now!

I won't "boycott" any toy. IMO that is just silly. It is a toy. If a person doesn't like the Panthor toy that they come out with then they don't have to buy it. It's that simple. No one is forcing anyone to buy it. There are lots of toy lines and other items that I could buy with my money, but I don't want to and therefor I don't. BUT I love everything about MOTU and so I use most of my free money buying MOTU goodies.

See, there are those of us that plan to buy each and every figure no matter what because to us nothing could ever be so bad about a figure that we wouldn't want it. And then there are those of us that will pick and choose characters based upon how much we like them....and that is fine also. But I think the term "boycott" should only be used when referring to tough life choices and not an optional toy line.

Mattel and the 4H try very hard to listen to everyone's opinions and concerns, but no matter how hard they try they will never be able to make everyone happy. We MOTU fans are a very passionate group, but I would hope that we all agree that having this line is a blessing. I, personally, feel very blessed to be able to collect these awesome figures. I admire the 4H for their artistry and appreciate their dedication. I never got to collect anything as a kid and love that I am able to now.

So, to flock or unflock...that is the question. And according to Mattel the answer is unflocked when and if Panthor is released. So, I accept that and look forward to purchasing this toy whenever it is released.

Out of the night that covers me,

    For my unconquerable soul.

It matters not how strait the gate,

I'll wait to see what he looks like, but I do find the lack of flocking disappointing.

I never liked panthor BECAUSE he was flocked. I'm glad he won't be. But panthor isn't a character I'm excited about getting. I'm likely to get him ($30 is a very fair price) but i think he's just a poor man's battle cat in too many ways. "hi, i'm he-man. i ride a tiger"
"hi, i'm skeletor. I'm your nemesis and have a matching steed!"

Even as a kid i thought that was pretty uncreative.

I hope panthor has unique armour and head sculpt. I think it's only fair.

just like how there's an evil robotic horse too. I'm DEFINATELY only buying 1 robot horse (unless it's a lot more than a repaint)
