Geldor Discussion Thread

I wonder if there is a chance we could ever see Geldor released?

Remember him? No? He was the evil enemy of He-Man once in an old mini-comic. I think it was called Search For the Secret Liquid of Life, or something close to that.

I always thought he looked cool. The goatee and the mohawk. The cool double-bladed axe he wields on the cover of the mini.

I wonder why this character was never brought back? Instead, he went on the shelf with characters like Strong Arm and Lizard Man.

I remember a lot of the characters in that story only appeared that one time.

What was Adam's friend's name again? He wore armor very much like that of Zodac Zur and Zodak (Kar-Tur). In fact, i'm just now thinking of how much he looks like the new Zodak. With the dark skin and similar armor. Except I know Zodak is bald, and Adam's buddy had an afro.

Anyway, just got to thinking about how i've never really seen a thread about him. I was wondering what others thought about him, if they thought of him at all.

As I wrote in another thread, it's "The Secret Liquid of Life" mini comic?

That was an early mini comic and one of the first where He-Man fought someone other than Skeletor, showing that Eternia actually had other enemies than the evil lord of destruction.

Maybe Geldor is Keldor's full brother, and he really wanted the secret liquid of life to restore Keldor, before his brother was joined to demolition man.

Yeah, I remember this guy! He's a great candidate for a figure. Cool barbarian look, simple weapons, and an evil guy who's just a human! Very few of those.

As much as I love the mini comics and want to see mini comic characters in MOTUC, there a couple hundred characters I can think of I`d rather have first

I love the design of Geldor in this mini comic, and i hope will realesed in the MOTUC!

Mmmm.... Hordak gloves, Tri-Klops armor, Clamp Champ's body, brown He-Man axe, and a new head. This would be an easy "bonus" figure to make.

Geldor is a pretty cool character.
I would be happy to see as figure but I prefer other character first.

This was always one of my favorite mini-comis for whatever reason. it'll never happen, but I'd be thrilled to buy a Geldor!

She looks like the Wasp in one of her many outfits in that issue.

he looks pretty cool. I'd like to see him one day, but i wouldn't lose any sleep if i never saw him. There's so many characters i want first. If we're getting a figure that's never been made before, I want SHOKOTI (even shokoti's designer himself said how he wrote her into the 200x series but it was edited out and that he's holding out for a toy to be made of her one day)

I didn't know they've made plans to put Shokoti in the 200X series, thats
very interesting, to bad it never materialized. Well I definitely would love
for her to eventually make the line. As for Geldor, I would also buy him,
he has much potential to be a very interesting character and figure.

actually... it DID materialise. but the dialogue was cut.

In the episode "the price for betrayal" or whatever it was called (the one where skelly has evil lyn chained up for betraying him), there was a tentacle monster. the ruined temple was shokoti's. There was originally supposed to be a piece of dialogue referring to her - but it was going to be a subtle reference for the hardcore fans. The writer said he wanted her back and that he wants his toy made. Also, that it was supposed to be a 1 part ep, but because it cost over budget they had to make a prequel part using only stock footage to fund it.

I never knew that, fascinating, So is the writer the one that came up
with the character of Shokoti because I was under the impression that
was Filmations created character? If he's that adamant for a figure then
maybe Mattel will make her for this line.
