This work of art definitely needs to be finished by someone!! There are certainly talented enough fans out there somewhere who can build upon the ideas established in this take and build the rest of the story. I'd do it myself if I were a comic artist. I just do writing.

I definitely think this take on the origin is quite interesting. I didn't care much for all of the rhyming, but it was definitely a good read despite how short and unfinished the product is.

I really enjoyed this! I like how it has a tone that is much more mature than the usual MOTU media. Wish I'd been able to pick up a page or two before they disappeared!

    Thanks for the find LFE!

I think this is the best origin story I've read or seen for He-man (although there still were a lot of elements I disliked). Just awesome!

EDIT: This is just one more reason why Mattel truly needs to give someone rights to publish a comic to support the new MOTUC line! We need more MOTU/POP stories! Preferably drawn in the old-school S&S style!

Strange that MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE is the name of a group like in MOTU 200x cartoon.

Bizzare art error on page 20.

This is just too cool for words! I am liking where the story was going. I wish there was more! Also, I wonder if Moon Spinner could be Eldor?

Wow, that was actually quite good. Although I prefer the MOTU that we eventually got, this was still good and, IMO, felt like He-Man. Just goes to show that a few differences here and there aren’t always a bad thing if the spirit is still intact. Sony and Mattel, take note.

WOW! What a find! Incredible . . . this is the most mature take on He-Man I've ever seen. I would pay good money to see this whole thing finished and published.

Mattel needs to look to this as a model for a new movie. Seriously. Swap out the whole "life mold" for Adam saying "by the power of grayskull, etc." and the demons for Evil Warriors. Add some other more traditional MOTU basics (Randor, MArlena, Orko, etc) and it would be perfect.

Thank you very much for posting this, Lord Fallen Eldor. This is a great find and I really enjoyed it.

Something no one else has mentioned is how awesome it is to see Skeletor as a true threat, and Man-At-Arms as the total badass he should have always been. Skeletor utterly mauled everyone in his brief appearance, and Man-At-Arms looked completely awesome after shooting that wolf and standing at the Battle Ram.

Thank you everyone, glad to see I'm not alone in loving this "Lost Tale" Unraveling the mystery of the Origin's origin is tricky, but i do have a strong lead to follow. I also have a lot of research to do about Western Publishing's (owners of Whitmen and Golden Books) operations before i can even figure out who i need to get in touch with. When I can confirm some of my speculations I will let you know. I Also urge any body who owns pages of this to get in contact with Sallah who is making sure to document the new owners. Thanks for helping me out Sallah! I couldn't do this alone!

If anyone else would like to help email me!

It's interesting that Mattel chose to make Eldor a healer of He-Ro in the MOTUC bios. Was he ever known to be one prior to that?

I am truly amazed something like this existed. It is actually a very interesting interpretation of He-man. I wish there was a finished and published product out there. It's really interesting.

This would make for a seriously awesome graphic novel if it were finished.

Did anybody post these on Matty's Facebook page or if Toy Guru has seen these?

I can report that a definitive link between this Lost Tale and the Sunbird Legacy does exist. Sallah and I are investigating a few different avenues. Unfortunately both Fred Carillo (the suspected Inker) and Adrian Gonzales are deceased so that adds a level of difficulty to our quest. Sallah's research has been invaluable in contacting people and collecting information! I couldn't have done all the work he has done by my self. When we find out something more definitive we'll let you know. I'll be submitting an entry about this to the He-Man.org homepage news section. We'll be contacting Toy Guru when we have collected the appropriate information he'll need to look this up in the Mattel archives. Of course that is even assuming he can do so. As of yet we need to confirm some more suspicions before we can engage in the next few steps. We don't want to inundate anyone with a bunch of separate personal requests. One solid effort for truth is already being spearheaded by Sallah and my self. Be patience. we'll share everything we can find, when we have it. I ask that if anyone wishes to aid us in this quest for knowledge please contact Sallah or my self so our efforts can be coordinated. Expect a full article about this wonderful piece of history when we are done researching it.

If any artistically talented fans wish to collaborate to finish off the existing pages I definitely encourage that. If somebody wants to step forward to coordinate the efforts on that front email me or Sallah so we can add that to the finished article! To any writers who find the temptation of finishing this story, i recommend waiting. You'll never know what we may uncover. I can't promise anything, but we are digging deep and our goal is to find a script if one still survives. I'm hopeful we can unlock the secrets of this story. Fingers crossed everyone!

That I don't know. But it is kind of interesting how they do take certain character type and has evolved through out from the mini comics to the toys to the tv shows. Maybe they had this healer character in mind when they were going to do The Powers Of Grayskull. And Eldor become the result of it.

THIS is what the MOTU origin should be!

Id love to see Skeletor with his demonic hordes mixed in with his more well known henchmen. Mattel (or a fan group) should do something with this origin story. Excellent...simply excellent.

It's seriously the first time I've seen Skeletor as such an awesome, ruthless threat since Langella Skeletor....

It looks like all the seller has left is the 2 page splash! Congrats to all who got some!

Good stuff LORD FALLEN ELDOR, it's all very exciting!

I'd love to have a stab and finishing it off but I think there are better artists than I out there that are more suitable.
