Anyone else MOST excited 4 ZOAR this month? Doubtful, but let's hear it 4 the Z-Bird!

Filmation always has been and probably always will be my preferred canon, so I am THRILLED that we've FINALLY got a Zoar that works with that continuity!!! I don't care if the blue is missing from the deco, as far as I'm concerned this bird IS The Sorceress in her alternate form, dagnabbit! So that also means I got THREE of my favorite and most wanted characters this month! Don't get me wrong, I can't WAIT for the actual Sorceress figure to be announced, but the bird will satisfy me until that happens. I don't need them to make a big version like the original toy, I don't care if they release the red armor (although I wouldn't mind a perch), this thing is awesome as is! So who else is stoked?!

I think it's cool that we're getting Zoar. In any form.

It's a good idea that it comes with Teela, too. I'm a little surprised, though. I figured it would come with the Sorceress figure when she was announced.

I wouldn't mind seeing a full size Zoar like the one from the 80's. I always liked Zoar being big and equipped with the armor. The perch was good, too.

If Battle Cat sells well, which i'm sure it will, maybe down the road we can get a bigger version of Zoar like back in the day.

While I wouldn't say MOST excited...Zoar is definitely a very cool bonus.

Its kind of useless without a stand or the ability to be comfortable held by the figure with which it was packaged.

I like his size & don't care about armor. But when Zoar with blue feathers is released (hopefully with the Sorceress) this one is getting out oh my shelf.
Tallstar, I think that Matell will repaint Zoar into Screeech and Glory Bird. I'm not into repaints but I'd love those.

Mattel says a perch is forth coming. Probably with Sorceress or Evil Lyn I'm sure. Not having a stand right now will make it interesting to see what other fans come up with.

Perhaps this bird is named something else. I'm calling HIM Zion. An ancient sorcerer who tried to prevent the Council of Elders from abandoning Eternia. An immortal, Zion seeks a way to become a man again, so he may rebuild the Hall of Wisdom. I am.

I like that this one can carry swords and stuff, but this version can't fit on characters' arms or carry them off by the shoulders - nor can they ride on it (Man-At-Arms looks weird trying to ride on this one). I used to have my figures ride on the original Zoar ("He fights for He-Man"), even though I only know of two MOTU stories where someone rides Zoar (Mantenna mini-comic and a story record/cassette).

I'm positive we'll get that version when she is announced, and sure I'll replace this one with that one then, but until now, this one is most satisfactory.

yeah i was excited for Teela and completely forgot Zoar cam with her.

i can't wait to get the stand and armor for the bird but MOST of all i am happy that Zoar is IN SCALE with the figures. i never liked the old one cause the wings never were able to hold their own weight and always drooped.

i dont understand why mattel did not put the base of zoar, we saw that base on the twin brothers and looks pretty similar to the vintage one....
why they did not give it to us?

I hope that the bios show that this Zoar is separate from The Sorceress, that this Zoar is a male fighting falcon. I'm very interested in learning more about Mattel's intended direction with The Sorceress. That bit from TG last week makes me hopeful that we'll also see other colored versions of her such as the pink or white versions, the 200X version, or even NA. I also want the armor and perch for both Zoars as well as Screech and Glory Bird!

I am definitely missing huge Zoar with all the battle equipment. On the other hand I understand they could not afford better one as an accessory. So it is way better than the warrior's ring packed with Tri-Klops. Still the good thing is that MOTUC is very much into the vintage style so you can reuse the Zoar/Screeech released in 80s. I think it will fit very well. The birds can hardly be done better than the vintage ones - just my opinion. But then again - this MOTUC Zoar is just an accessory.

I too am very happy that we have Zoar. I just wish that more about him/her was mentioned in the Teela's bio. Why didn't it read, "Teela uses her magical staff and trust falcon friend, Zoar, to track her enemies." It sure is great that s/he gets thrown in the box, but, continuity wise, why is s/he there? Sure, we all know, but the packaging seems somehow incomplete without some mention of Zoar.

there are 3 birds the twins bird the beast boy bird and now Zoar but mattel did not give the base to any of them....and really with out it he's kind of ****** he can't stand up so he look's on his back and looks like the bad guys killed him/her
