Drove 3+ hours to the ToyMan toy show in St. Louis yesterday on a whim. Had my MOTU co-collector/best friend on the phone to look up prices and discuss purchases. We came away with -

Slime Pit MIB - Prety sharp (at least to me) so will be AFAing
Panthor MIB - I'd judge it about 5.0, box is terrific and plastic solid but yellow, remnants of many price tags
Spydor MIB - Great overall but a puncture wound on the front like another box dropped on it
Battle Bones MIB - Great overall but left flap is open, like the glue dried up or something
Grizzlor MOC - Maybe a C7, great bubble, so-so card, prob will not AFA but you never know
Two red, plastic MOTU figure carrying cases like I had as a kid - great shape, both with tray - dealer threw these in for cheap great art on them, holds 4 figures each - you probably all had these as kids

Overall very happy! One dealer had a yellow Whiplash and yellow Khan but would take no less than $150 for both. I passed. I can't stand yellow bubbles anyway and would only have wanted them as place holders in the growing collection.

I almost bought a MOC Silverhawks Mon-Star and MOC GIJoe Dial Tone. Decided not to but the desire is strong to pepper the MOTU collection with some old favorites from other 80s lines - Tron, Mon-Star, Moltar from Crystar, GIJoe Beachhead, Starriors Flashfist, M.A.S.K. Rhino, Centurions Jake Rockwell, etc. Gotta stick to MOTU for now!

Then bought a SWEET MOC Tung Lashor from Aeolus on eBay, not knowing it was his! D'oh!

Vlcan I've been thinking about picking up a few vintage MOC figures, but I have no idea what each are worth. Is there a buyer's guide somehwere?

Look what the Zoloworld fairy left on my doorstep! These cases are great!

My latest vintage haul netted me loose/complete:

    Extendar
    Trap Jaw
    Hordak
    Two Bad

Not many left for the collection!

Yes there is a guide. I believe it's Lee's toy mag/guide. Something along those lines. But buying MOC vintage figures is all relative. Condition is always king....especially with the vintage stuff. You need to do your homework and start watching the market....eBay. I haven't paid over $140 for any of my vintage MOC's. I have less than 20 to get. Keep your eyes out for anything. Sometimes you can get a good deal on stuff. But I can't give away any of my secrets.....ha. Don't worry. I'll pm you a few.
Speaking of scores.....just bought a MOC Mer Man from same seller that I bought my $40 MOC beast man from for $51. So I got both of those 1982 MOC figures for less than $100. Usually they both go for over $100 apiece. I think I did well.

I like your commemorative figures. But let me tell you there's nothing like the real thing. Once you buy one you'll get hooked.

Before I saw Frankenweenie (wonderful movie btw), my mom and I went into the collectible store and they didn't have a lot of He-man stuff in stock. The only ones they had were Leech (which I already had) and two Kobra Khans. So I wanted to see the condition of the Kobra's to see which one was better. One was priced $8 and one was $12. They both looked fine to me. I took the $8 one. When I paying for my item, the lady working there said that the MOTU action figures have been selling a lot recently as this one guy the other day bought 6 for his son. I responded by saying probably because of the 30th Anniversary. She said that's probably what it is.

So today was a good day for me. I get a He-man action figure and I get to see a Tim Burton flick.

Thrashor obtained an Extendar, sadly with no shield but paid £3.00 so was happy.

Just recieved the "He-Man and the Power Sword" original mini comic (with extra pages) $21 shipped. To my suprise it was in dang near mint condition!! I don't care about condition, and just want complete books, but this was a nice suprise! I'm new (restistration wise, been trolling for years) to the org, and will have my extra minis up for trade with my want list soon.

FINALLY... found an Eternia Gun Turret with Windshield for a reasonable price! That little windshield was the most elusive piece of the MOTU puzzle for me. Now, after 18 years (wow, I'm old ) I've finally completed my Eternia Playset.

    CONGRATS scotty!!!
i know you've been looking for that little thing for a long time, so i'm so happy to hear you finally have it! (though, i still will never understand what the specific allure for such a tiny little thing is, OR why people are willing to pay so much for it!) ((hope you didn't have to spend as much as i see folks paying))... though, i guess that's easy to say from the standpoint of someone who still has it from childhood. *shrug*
anyway, congrats man! yay for toys! lol.
