Nice find. However a word of caution, IF you ever plan on trying to track down Flying Fist He-man's red peg (that goes into his back) be advised that it is NOT the same as the one for Terror Claws Skeletor.
I almost learned this the hard way when I was looking for FF He-man's peg and tried to buy TC Skeletor's thanking it was the same only to discovery afterwards online that they were in fact different. Thankfully the ebay seller had mis-identified it as TC Skeletor and had in fact sold me the correct one.![]()

Great finds guys! My recent grabs are
- MISB Point Dread and Talon Fighter
- MOC 8-back Man-At-Arms (my first MOC 8-back!)
THE VINTAGE-TO-CLASSICS COUNTDOWN IS COMPLETE!!!
Got issues 4 and 5 today, plus the Origin of Skeletor.
So, I was on the bus today. And out of the corner of my eye,
I see something which looks like something MOTU. I simply had
to find out, so I got off the bus at the next stop. Thank God!
What I found lying there on the street as trash was a complete,
boxed SNAKE MOUNTAIN. What the Hell?!!
Everything down to both of the shackles is in excellent condition.
It was lying on top of some garbage with the front facing down.
It's a miracle I even identified it passing by!
One man's trash is another man's treasure! Hallelujah!![]()

How lucky can one man be?! Needless to say, that I'm thrilled!
The Age of Miracles isn't over, kids!
As you can see in the bottom left corner, the price is still on.
I've removed the 'hide the price' sticker ... and Danish retail
was 648 DKK, about $110. A lot of money back then. Still is.

I'm good.
You want one of my SMs, ey?! Show your face, and then

I...I...wait, I still can't get my mind around this. You found a great condition, complete Snake Mountain in the box (opened, but still) in a pile of garbage? And you spotted it from a moving bus? So someone opened this however long ago, played with it some, then put it back in the box and THREW IT IN THE GARBAGE?
I...I...have no words...![]()

I kid you not, guys.
This 'garbage' (wrong choise of word), was not kitchen throw out, it was
'things'; two big bags, ice skates, a big ol' radio, thing like that.
I'm not ashamed to admit, that I gladly pick up something if I want it from
piles like these. Hell, this time it was a bloody Snake Mountain.
It's funny for me to see this Danish box. Because I remember our figures
had American cards - as in not bilingual. But this SM is, as you can see,
Euro/French.
I also remember, if not else, then for sure Battle Bones and Land Shark
both to have American boxes.
Was it normal for both American and Euro cards/boxes to be sold in the
same country? And in the same store? This SM is sold in Fætter BR,
it was like the only Danish toy chain in the 80's.

Wow, Squid. All I can say is wow. I found a Super Gobots Cy-Kill laying on the sidewalk as I was walking through my neighborhood a few years ago and I was stoked at such an unexpected but welcome surprise. I'm going to have to step up my treasure hunting expertise to compete with you.
As for my latest acquisition, I recently scored a complete Grizzlor and Fisto for $5 each from my nearest Vintage Stock. I'm not a big vintage MOTU collector because of my extreme hatred of those black bands. But at $5 a piece I couldn't resist.

It must have been fate, because things like this just doesn't happen.
So many coincidences occurred: an actual vintage MOTU collector
finds the thing at all - the odds for that are like nill; perfect timing,
right place, right day, right time; I saw it first (somebody else would
have snatched it up); I saw it at all ... amazing!
Makes me wonder how much vtg. MOTU that has actually been burned
as trash throughout the years. Sad!

ROTOPLAST MINI-COMIIIICS!!!, actually, I already had the Stratos mini comic (which made me happy), and I got the Betamax tape, in late December (which also made me very happy).
Anyways, these mini-comics are so hard to come by!, I've only seen them for sale twice, and I've bought them both time. The 2nd of January I was just checking the auction site, it was like 8:30, the article wasn't there the day before, as far as I now, and it already had a question!... it was a fishy article though, the price was that of say, two Battle Cats, but the lot included 5 mini comics, Battle Cat (WITH helmet), Night Stalker (this one turned out to be beaten, aged and broken... but it had his helmet), and like 8 figures. The seller had no feedback.
So I took a leap of faith, paid him the very same day, he said he would ship the following day. I went to the postal office where I usually pick up my figures, and nothing. I called the guy, "hey, can you send me the tracking number by text", and he is all "no, sorry man, I'm not home". I just thought that it was it, it was money down the drain. BUT, he did send me the tracking number later that night, hooray!, except... I looked at it and it really looked made up, it was like 33777781-2, that's too many sevens. I called the postal office the next day, nothing, it was supposed to be there already, it was an overnight shipment (pretty much everything with MRW is overnight).
I called the toll free number (this one is handled at a national level) and they tell me package arrived yesterday, to a different office!, that is far away from where I live!. It was funny, I kept asking the lady if the number was made up, she said "no, it was sent from Miranda the 3rd of January". When I talked to the seller he had said something about Miranda.
I made a phone call to this other office that is far away from where I live and no answer, it was Saturday, so I figured it was closed; when I went on Monday the place was packed!. When it was my turn, I gave the person who worked there my info, tracking number, she left for like three minutes, came back and asked the name of the person who sent it, at that point I just thought the package was ghost and that I had gotten scammed...
Then she came back with huge box, that actually were two shoe boxes taped together; I went home, opened the boxes, and experienced a great amount of relief and satisfaction.
Phew!, no pain no gain! (or no stress no mini comics?). Funny, the seller happened to be helpful and quick to reply, the voucher shows the mistake was made by the courier company, not him.
This is one of the comics, I will be selling it eventually.

From two other different purchases, I got them both early this year, but I paid for them last year; neither came with a sword, I already had them.

The night Stalker went here, to a "documentation box", the figs are broken, but they're useful for copyright and other info (which figs have soft or hard arms and heads, etc) but for nothing else.
