Should TWISTOIDS come with removable legs?

If Twistoid and Rotar where ever made for MOTUC, how would you want them updated? Would you want them to be a 100% update of the original, or would you want to see them updated with something like removable legs? You could have it be that the figures "detach" from their torsos, allowing them to keep the spinning feature that they had before. Since this line won't have "action features", it really doesn't matter, but if they are made with the ability to seperate at the waist to look more like the original toys, it gives collectors an option of how they want to pose them. This is an idea that ROOK mentioned in another post:

I think something like that could work for these figures. It may even allow for a "reuse" of RAM-MAN's lower torso and legs, since they are bulky on top and would need wide feet and legs to stand.

Another option could be to give them treads for a display base, like Terrortread (from New Adventures.)

That's actually a pretty wicked idea. I hope we do see these fun characters included in the MOTUC line. Adding legs and such is a great way to update them into even better characters, IMO.

Also, this is the first I've eever seen of Terror Tread, and I have to say: He's pretty cool. I'll take a Classicversion of him as well, thank you very much!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

Why, this seems like an excellent idea! These characters are already growing on me, as we speak.

Removable legs would be a cool feature.

yes, they would need something to entice an adult collector to want it to be apart of their collection. as they are may not be enough to release them into the new line of motu classics. needs a stand for posing & standing them.
good idea. ive forgotten about them.

I'm liking the idea of removable legs. Could be very cool! Or legs for Rotar and treads for Twistoid.

It looks like most people prefer the idea of these two characters coming with legs. I really think they would look better as "full scale" MOTU warriors, that can seperate at the waist. Gives collectors two ways of displaying them, depending on which way they prefer.

I was just thinking about this. With all the technology on eternia, robots, cyborgs, techno parts....devices used on Man-E-Faces and Mekaneck, there shouldn't be a reason Rotar or Twistoid could have lower torsos and legs they could "pop" out of and do their spin thing.

The Twistoids should not come with metal legs, because the Twistoids should not come with anything. They should not come at all. They should stay forever in the limbo of bad ideas that don't need to be revisited.

I voted yes, but I think making them more like Sy-clone with non-removable legs would be ideal.

    yes, definitely!
i'd love to see them with detachable legs and spinning lower part.

i really like the treads idea, but as a bonus: a small vehicle resembling the detachable part of the gyrattacker, for instance.

That's my initial thought, but since they will probably see the light of day some day, I think that removable legs and torsos would make them much better.

If they do get made, I'm sure the 4H will do something to make them less lame.

    I just saw this poll.

I voted yes. That would be pretty cool, since they probably won't have their spinning feature any longer. This way, you could display them how they looked in the 80's, or have them as a regular warrier!

By the way, I never understood the hate for these guys. I have both and love them!

The meteorbs, I can get though. They're neat, but don't feel like MOTU.

Other- I am really not sure how I want to see these two recreated. I know I don't want a spinning top action figure, detachable or not.

Now, little/medium spinning top accessories/weapons I'll gladly take.

    So I guess, non-detachable legs/torso-but spinning top weapons/accessories.

    OR(my edit)

Magnetism, like a floating/standing pen. Give them a magnetic display base and they could have a pointed top-like-spinner-thing that's also magnetic/metal/whatever that they could balance on.
I am not sure the exact mechanics of the floating/standing pen but it is a concept to star from. If one was careful, they could probably be spun too.

I like the idea of adding removable legs or treads/a display base to 'em. Mattel might sell more of 'em than they would otherwise. :b

All these figures need is a cloud-like stand to represent the dust and wind that they kick up when spinning. Or perhaps a sturdier base encompassing their weapons. Simple as that.

They don't need legs or treads, because they never had them to begin with and it's counter to the design and gimmick of the original toys.

All that is needed is a base for them to stand on.

I'm open to it and it would definitely work to have a base design for maybe that NA character as well...

I would say he was a former Royal Guard who went to war in the Second Ultimate Battleground was maimed and saved.
