I´ve always been fascinated about this character, because is a great unknown, but have great possibilities. I see him like a "future He-man" that lives in a world where Skeletor is the overlord of Eternia.
Talking about a possible release, a Dare figure can be based on the standard He-man body and fits ok? Anyway, he must include Craven, his bird pet.
Other fact is that "He-Ro" is already the name of "the Wizard most powerful in the Universe" so you can suggest new names for the character. Because he is a future He-man, "He-Rald" fits to me, in order to continue the "He" tradition, but more suggestions are welcome.

We've talked about this before, some people like it, some don't. I for one hate the entire concept, and I hope it never becomes more than what it is- a bad idea that never saw the light of day.

Definately cool. I also thought its just a Lou Scheimer idea, nothing more, its only a concept. I like the nam Dare, He-Rald sounds horrible.

i am afraid the closest we would see is a custom though, cause of the previous stated no connections with mattel.
I actually like the idea, but don't see it happening. He-Rald is a bad name though, not that I can think of one I like right now, but we could easily get a better one.
I just like "Dare" if he had to have a name.

Man, I was amazed by what they had come up with for that. Woulda been so cool if that show had been produced. I would totally like a Son of He-Man figure based on this design, or something similar.

The only thing I didn't like about the character designs is they reminded me of some sort of Jim Lee Image-era knock-offs. But they are kind of fun.If MOTU ever gets to the point Star Wars is now where they've run out of people to make and start going for concept characters and things... I'd totally dig these guys.

I wish this show had been produced and that we could get figures of these characters! I love the idea of Dare, and I really don't mind him being "He-Ro", since in MOTUC, we have had other "he-men."
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. Also, Mattel doesn't own the rights to this stinkpile. It was a proposed idea from DIC that was rightfully declined by Mattel.

I personally like the idea of a descendant or son of He-Man... Dare could be He-Ro in some sort of future where he has a conflict with the Horde and is sent back in time to Preternia by Horde Supreme. It is in the past where he meets King Greyskull and passes the Sword of He to him completing the cycle. But I can only dream!
It is a cool idea but kinda glad it never came to be either.

The only problem is that would create a time paradox wherein sword of He would cease to exist. It would never then be created for Grayskull to weild in order to be passed down to Dare to give back to Grayskull.
