    MOTUC Butthead speculation

Any thoughts on B.H.? Who could he share parts with?

His face is hilarious. He looks like an insane granny.

That is one angry ugly dude. I'm guessing trap-jaw arms and legs.

Queen Angella - Hunga the Harpy - Peekablue - Toy Catra - Veena - Red Knight - Vultak - Dylamug - Sibyline - Kex Queen

OH NO!! The name alone makes me hope we never have to revisit this nightmare. Butthead and Slushhead aren't the kind of toys that were made to help foster a child's imagination.

I just looked at the pictures again. *shudder* NA He-Man is such a bad childhood memory. Please no, never again!!

I don't think any of the NA's should share parts with the regular figures. I think they should have new molds and share with each other like the females will.

Always remember the dark days of 2004 with no new MOTU in sight...

Only 4 more that need updating:

    Saurod, Blast Attak
    Dragstor, Multi-Bot

Good thinking. I'd be up for that.

I really didnt like the Mutant figures so much. They looked like muppets on way too many steriods. Some were ok like Karate and Optikk and Lizzor. But the others were horrible, so I hope they make them more like the Cartoon.

Well, NA fostered my imagination, and MAN what an awesome imagination it is! Seriously though, how does your two examples foster an imagination less than, say, Two-Bad, or Modulok? Unless, of course, your hated those particular choices of mine.

C'mon, you can't compare Butt-Head with Modulok. NA as a whole has some decent stuff but it ventures into crass territory far too much. It just represents a period to me when toy culture really went downhill in general with all the noisy, shiny spring loaded neon stuff.

Butthead - yep, that's a name to take seriously...Optik yes, Butthead? Less so.....

I think I'm in the "I could make it through life without one...." camp.

I don't think Butthead should share parts with anyone...except the He-Man biceps.

Sure you can. Everyone was so used to Filmation's version of He-Man and the original MOTU figures, that nothing else MOTU related couldn't measure up, simply because they weren't the most famous incarnations. NA is seen by some fans as "automatically bad" because of this. But now MOTUC is phasing NA into the same line as MOTU, so the whole skinny figure aspect is history now.

NA was around when all the great 80's lines died off natural deaths.

I was WAITING to see something like that. Should make the face blue.

So...whenever he wins a battle...does he air guitar....and laugh the rest of the time, while trying to get a look at Catra's 'thingies'?

Butthead: She-Ra....ummm.....uh huh huh huh.....ummm...uh huh huh huh....surrender, or we'll.....uhhhh.....uh huh huh huh....we'll kill the dork with the orange mustache, or something....uh huh huh huh. ~Sees Glimmer~ Hey, baybeh....uh huh huh huh.....this is cool.

    MotUC Butthead Speculation

Butthead. Has that name been copyrighted to some other property (as part of Bevis & Butthead)? Can Mattel even use that name? Would the name be considered to be too rude for a toy, since it does have "Butt" as part of the name?

If they do do the figure though, do you think

    1) he should come with his helmet and weapon
    2) his chest should be able to flip such that the head points forward as in the vintage toy
    3) he will have a replacable neck like Mekaneck
    4) who he will reuse parts from

I could've posted this in that other thread started by Novelty, but that seems to be for the vintage figures. So:

Just about every body part shared with Man-e-Faces. If M-e-F comes with joint for interchangable faces, then Butthead could come with an add-on neck piece that has two holes. One in the end for the head up, and one on the side for head front. The wobbly female head joint would be useful for the Butt-Head... Näytä lisää. And the axe could be the same as with Blast-Attak without the figure missing out much.

Since this line is aimed at adult collectors, i don't think any name should be deemed 'to rude' just because the word butt is there. We all should be mature enough to look past that.
there's toys out there with alot worse names... don't get me started on Ram man, or Battle Fist.... allot of connotations could be made with those names.

in a world where just about every name can be poked fun at, butthead doesn't sound too bad. Not sure if they can use the name since Beavis & Butt-head is a pretty well established & popular series.

if it's a copywright issue they could just change the name to headbutt.... we'd all know his real name anyway, so no big deal.

If they can't call him Butthead, do you think that they can simply call him "B.H." like they did in the cartoon. Personally, I'd like to see as many aspects of the cartoon design incorporated into the MOTUC figure of him that can be. I liked the duller green used on the cartoon more than the bright line green used on the vintage figure.

I don't know much about ol' Butthead, but I do look forward to his inlusion in MOTUC!~
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti
