Just a really nice mint on card with a clear bubble. Man-e-faces is hard to find with crystal clear bubbles, but that price is definitely gonzoooo...

Hopefully it IS clear, because from the look of it I'm a bit skeptical. Still, I'm surprised

I've been watching it for a while hoping to upgrade mine but.......not at that price. It's a really nice card and all but it's a little crazy now.

When I buy an expensive ungraded MOTU I always ask the seller to do the 'white paper test'. A light tint is SO easily missed and to me it's a big deal . Yah yah I have some items with yellow tint in my collection but I bought them all when I was a noob :P

Anyway, this item is looking real nice!

I asked him to do the white paper test and he emailed me pictures. I have had a white paper test not show a slight yellow tint before though, it was on an 8 back MAA too. All my yellow bubbles are either from long ago or the seller lied hehe.

Yeah unfortunately there's just so much we can do by distance. At least it's a good trick to avoid most tinted items. Sometimes the tint isn't bad at all but who knows how it will look in months, years. I would REALLY like to know what is the physical process that leads bubbles to tint. Humidity? Light? Bacterias? All of them? Something else? I don't think I'll ever find an answer to this question

I have also wondered this. Is there any corroletion to the type of plastic used in bubbles that turn yellow. It seems like some do and some just plain dont. Do all bubbles turn yellow over time? So many questions. :-)

I have a few bubbles that seem to be 'melting' away with time. Like an old piece of glass looks after a long long time.

Bubbles melting? Weird stuff! The oddest things I've found so far are insects and fungus inside bubbles (not MOTU though).

Yes I'm pretty sure that the type of plastic is part of the problem because if you look at She-Ra Euro figures, they don't seem to tint as much as their US counterpart.

Man e faces is a great figure and very hard to find with a cristal clear bubble.
So I can understand the price even if not a Man e weapons, easier to find with a cristal clear bubble.

It's photodegredation or sun damage, so it's generally a result of exposure to sunlight or fluorescent lights. If you somehow manage to keep your bubbles completely away from UV light throughout their lifetime, then (fingers crossed) they should be okay.

I not totally agree with you Modulok, cause I found Factory sealed motu cases and when I opened them, on 12 carded figures, 6 had yellow bubble... I thought the same than you but 25 years without to see any light, it cannot be that
