This is the official "Who Isn't Coming Soon List". What this does is keep track of who is far off and WHEN was that status last mentioned. For example, Jitsu's status was "he's coming in time" on May 15th. Now that we know that Adora (January), Trap Jaw (February), Moss Man (March), Evil-Lyn (April), Orko and She-Ra are hitting during 2010, Jitsu could be one of the last 6 characters (unless he's a bonus figure). We might be able to narrow down who is coming, by keeping track of who is not coming and matching this against who is left to make.
So far we have:
Masters of the Universe
Man-E-Faces (May 1st 2009 Q&A, Sept 15th 2009 Q&A, Nov 1st 2009 Q&A)

So this thread is for figures that we know we aren't getting for a while?
When did we hear we wouldn't be getting Bow?
What about Faceless One? We know he isn't planned until...what was it? 2011?

Probably the giants Tytus and Megator. If we get these they could reuse the molds for the three giants from MYP.
Those guys are a different case. Mattel doesn't have the rights. I'm talking about characters that they could make, but haven't gotten to yet.
Doing this, we might be able to narrow down who is coming, by keeping track of who is not coming and matching this against who is left to make.
Yup. Figures we KNOW we aren't getting for a while.
I think Bow was on a Q&A. I'll add Faceless One.
Filmation characters too. Matty said they were trying to get filmation rights at SDCC but we've not heard anything since. the 4H have said repeatedly how far ahead they work to what we see, so even if matty got the rights to filmation YESTERDAY, I see it very unlikely we'll see any filmation characters until at least 2011. (unless they make shokoti ANOTHER teela repaint....)
And definately the giants. I'd also add all the mounts like stridor to the list. Until battle cat sells well, they don't plan on any other bigger items. From what TG said in the recent QnA, I'd wager the giants aren't even in the pipe line at this time.
We've been told Veena is planned "eventually". I highly doubt we'll see her within the next 18 months (unless she's a teela repaint! :P)
rammy is definately not in 2010. TG has said a few times.
Also, I'd like to point out that i'm very happy clamp champ isn't planned any time soon. It's a safe bet no one here will miss him. but matty saying he would be very easy to do implies FISTO's armour has been sculpted...

Yes Faceless One is planned for May 2011. I remember it so well because I'm extremely excited about getting him.
I read something about Bow not being in the planning right now/in the near future. So he will probably not appear in 2010. I believe TG said it, I'm not sure though, but it was from an official source. That's why I think we will get Catra as the next POP figure after She-Ra. Personally I would be very exited if that was the case. I can already see her standing next to Hordak fighting Adora and BA He-Man.
Oh and I think we can add The Star Sisters on that list. Unfortunately! If they come at all....![]()

I bet we get these guys in 2010. Ever since the 90's it seems toy lines have to have something XtRemE about them and they just fit the bill too nicely. That they're from the 80's fit's in with the "irony" fetish of the 2-0's. Not to mention 2010 kicks off a new decade. They are in, I tell you.
Now if only they'd make Bow in the same year.
While there are certainly characters like Ram Man who are unlikely since they talk a lot of new tooling, nothing is certain even considering all of Mattel's interview answers. They can easily change their mind at any moment.
Ehh, not too worried about what's on the list except for Ram-Man (which is for the unique tooling so I understand) and Ninjor (which is probably due to popularity). I know Ninjor coud be made easily (a new sculpted "hooded" head and new weapons is all he needs) but there are more popular characters that will be made first. No big deal. Both will see the light of day (or in Ninjor's case the dark of night).

Mattel does have the rights to make Blade Saurod and Gwildor since they had figures in the original line however they're probably not coming any time soon. Then again Toyguru asked the SDCC crows how they'd feel about an Orko/ Gwildor two pack. (Me not so thrilled. Not that I won't get Gwildor when he's out but I was planning on getting multiple Okros but I only need one Gwildor) I'd love to get Saurod.
Modulok and MUlti-Bot aren't in the cards yet

I bet we are not seeing Grizzlor anytime soon, if they canīt flock Panthor amd Mossman the right way, they wouldnīt put all the fur on him
Man-E Faces.
(from the Nov 1 Q&A)5. For a Man-E-Faces MOTUC figure, are you thinking more like Tri-Klops’ turning eyes for his “many faces” or more like the upcoming Battle armor He-Man with swappable plates?
Actually, both options are being reviewed. But he is still awhile off. So don’t jump to any conclusions!
Also, Barbarian He-Man.
Of that list, only Ram Man am I really bothered about - I'd really like to see the classic first two waves (of the original line) covered before we head off into the relms of Horde (even though we've already had Hordak / Snake Men / NA / more obscure characters, etc.
But I do notice that Man-E-Faces isn't on that list - I'd really like to see him some time next year.

Here's some people are not talking about:
Laser Power He-Man
Laser Light Skeletor
I would so LOVE these to be made...but...![]()
Man-E-Faces
Clamp Champ
Ninjor
Delays on these 3 guys really surprises and dissapoints me
MEF is nearly made thanks to Kronis and he is an earlier figure in the series. So what gives? I think there's problems with the pelvis part and they havent sorted it out yet. He-Ro's got turned into a skirt, after all...
Ninjor would be cheap... Unless tooling for weapons is similar to body parts, then he would be quite expensive to produce, for a basic figure.
For some reason Clamp Champ is my underdog and he should be easily produced, so its a shame that he's on the back burner.
I'm not into POP but a Bow could be pretty cool
This has been brought up before and I disagree. The flocking problem with Moss Man is that the adhesive plus the tiny grains of the flocking jam up the joints and interfere with articulation. For Moss Man this is being solved by not flocking around joints. Panthor isn't being flocked because the pannel at SDCC voted to not flock him (or at least that's what we're being told)
For Grizzlor the fur could simply be attached to the chest and hang down. Also note that the main problems with Moss Man were in the arms and legs. Grizzlor doesn't have the fur on his arms and legs. Truth be told I think Grizzlor is the MOST likely Hordesman to come next. He'd require very little new tooling.
Head: New
Torso: Standard male covered by the fur
Waist: Depends on how they want to do it the vintage had none but the staction had a loincloth. I'd say either standard covered in fur or Hordak
Arms: Beast Man (Okay so the vintage didn't have wristbands but big deal the staction had full gloves)
Upper legs: Beast Man
Lower Legs/top of boots: Hordak
Foot below ankle: He-Ro
Armor: new
Armband: Hordak
Weapon: Hordak's crossbow repainted

What do they say about Clamp Champ in the Toyfare?

SLUSH HEAD FINALLY SHOWED UP IN MOTUC YAY!!!
Just because they said "when we get to Ninjor" about his name, does not mean they won't get to him next year. If they are not ready to reveal him yet, they could have worded the answer that way as to not give him away.
I too am will be really disappointed if Man-E-Faces is not part of my 2010 subscription. I can understand not getting Ram Man in 2010 but I really want a complete second series of vintage figs (only Mekaneck, Man-E-Faces, and Ram Man remain) in MOTUC by the end of 2010.
