Frosta in MOTUC Discussion thread

Based on that pic, she'll look great with the Star Sisters. Glad I kept them.

Frosta looks great, but I am still worried about her face. It's really hard to tell, but I don't think the sculpt was cleaned up from the last time we saw her. Eamon's photoshop fix to her face was perfection. I really hope she looks good!

Also, her shield is very cool...but I wish they gave her the Styleguide snowflake wand instead of the shield. That's new tooling. The ice shield is a 100% repaint and could have gone in the Weapons Pak. I mentioned this when we heard she would come with a shield.

I know she comes with the toy staff (which I LOVE!), but they made it pretty long. That would be very cumbersome in battle. It's more like a royal show staff...or if she needs to use it to trip people and fight hand-to-hand if she's lost her powers or used them all up. The snowflake wand is elegant, small and perfect for travel!

Is Frosta's hair translucent ?

It does look that was at the ends (like Scareglow's cape).

EDIT: Actually, upon looking at shots of Frosta when she was revealed...it looks like the lips MAY have been resculpted to look like the ones Eamon photohoped! *fingers crossed* It doesn't look like they have the creepy curl thing going on the side (I know, bad description ).

I really don't expect the sculpt to change at all on Frosta from what was at Toy Fair. I'm pretty sure the only change I've heard from the 4H and Scott have been paint changes.

OMG! She looks great! Love that they are giving her translucent hair- that's actually really clever! From this side shot, I think she looks better than she did previously (we haven't seen any updated pics of her since her initial reveal in February, is that right?). The staff looks cool, the "ice shield" is done better than I expected (I thought it would just be a solid snowy white- so glad they went this route, as Netossa also wields a white version of the She-Ra shield). While I mourn the missed opportunity to throw in some ice blasts that could snap on to her wrist, seeing her "in action" (as it were) is making me wish it were September already. I wonder if this current fling with Spector is giving He-Man a sigh of relief... now he's free to pursue Sweet Bee... LOL. Speaking of, I really want Sweet Bee to have the She-Ra shield in yellow but with translucent parts like Frosta's. Frosta's being comprised of snow and ice, and then Sweet Bee's being comprised of honeycomb. 'Twould be pretty cool-looking!

PS- How funny is it that Mosquitor is frozen in that block of ice? I was so excited about Frosta I totally missed that at first glance! He's got those insectoid legs on his back!

Well, I can still hope! You never know...sculpts have been changed before and the lips are a pretty minor sculpting change/fix.

If we lost the sculpted, pointy nipples, I personally will be happy...because I didn't like that and thought it sexualized her. Bow had a heart-on his crotch, The Mighty Spector has "SEX" on his bracelet. This is a toyline, not a triple 'X' movie!

So here's what I'm thinking..... Once Teela took over the throne of Grayskull, her powers allowed her to find out about Frosta's crush on He-man. So she used her powers of telepathy to persaude King He-man to send Spector into the past and steal Frosta away before she ever met He-man. And the Mighty Sextor was all too willing to oblige.

Translucent hair would be cool, but I'm afraid it will crack and fall apart like all the other translucent pieces we've received. If it is in fact translucent, maybe it will be soft, ie not brittle, and won't have any issues.

I don't image they would change her sculpt - it would only be a re-paint to fix her face at this point. I can't wait to see her.

She wasnt re sculpted, just a new cast of the head and repainted, Cornboy said it was done within 3 days of NYTF and she was shipped off.

But all the Photoshoped 'cleanups' were seen and taken into consideration....so we shall see!


I love the Staff and Shield (she wont use it in my display -only updated vintage weapons allowed) but Im thrilled to have it!

but the absolute BEST facet (pun Intended) here is her lack of Cali Girl Tan...shes pale as an Ice empress should be! Bravo!

Anyway, I'm glad she has her shield! I do still wish they had opted for some ice weapons, but she has what she needs, at least. Loving the translucent hair! Great idea there.

I get an almost Jolie-esque vibe from her profile, which could be a good thing because Miss Angelina is a beautiful woman. Thankfully, the lips don't look as bee-stung as the Toy Fair prototype. Perhaps the Horsemen were able to do some Eamon-izing before sending her to production. We'll know in a few days, won't we?

I'm not worried about the hair. The plastic they use for that is different from the plastic they use for the body parts, and as others have stated, it is softer and more flexible. I'm going to be awfully tempted to remove the paint and have all her hair translucent, though. The shield does look nice, but I would have loved it if she had come with Ice Armor's He-man's axe like Brian suggested in the Toy Fair podcast.

The best part is she's only two months away! Woo-hoo! The rebellion, slowly but surely, is starting to grow.

It might be ok.. Jewelstar's hair (in fact, her whole head I think) was cast in pink translucent plastic so that her crown could be translucent... and the hair was painted.

As long as it is painted well, it should be cool... though I really REALLY loved the color of the prototype's hair.

I'm hoping the treatment of the cape might still be on the inside of the cape.
