Frosta in MOTUC Discussion thread

I just picked up one of these at Wal-mart today that was on clearance, simply because as soon as I saw it I told myself "Those weapons would be perfect for Frosta/Blue Mer-Man/potentially Icer/potentially Ice Armor He-Man!".

Also, they re-used the tool for Beast Boy's bird form for the MOTUC bird quartet; why couldn't they re-use some of the DCU weapon sculpts in this line as well?

LOL i got him there on close out to. they can't DC got mad at them for doing it with the bird so they had to stop it.

Go to a member's profile and click ignore from the options on the left. I have no one currently on my ignore list, but I believe that is how it's done!

After clicking said name, their page comes up and in the grey box there is a choice of add to ignore list on the left side where it shows your name, friends, recent visitors etc.

Good point, but a few generic accessories are very different to a bird that represented a copyrighted character.
Other toy lines do it all the time...

Other toy lines do it all the time...

true but they are not generic accessories there handle is Aqualads weapon. it should be painted but Mattel cut the paint apps ,the handle is probably copyright of DC. DC told Mattel NO part sharing and i bet DC/WB is to big for Mattel to brush off

I still think it is AWESOME we are getting Frosta.

I really think the head schulpt is fine...it just needs to be repainted and with that I think she will look amazing. You can see her check-bones and I said it before and I'll say it again...if they went PURE Filmation...I think her head would look alienish. The sculpt is a nice represenation of Filmation Frost in Classics form.

I'd be willing to bet that we will see Frosta again at SDCC, this time her face will look much better.

Unless of course... logisticor seizes control of thier paint kits so no modifications can be made.

I would really like to know what they have done with her and how they will improve her, the sooner we know the better!

I´m not at their Facebook side(as i´m not very active on facebook at all...) but maybe someone who is member of that side could ask about her? No?!

I have so much confidence that Frosta's going to look awesome. Considering she goes on sale in September, she should be pretty much finalized by SDCC. Soon Frosta and Catra will rule my toy shelves together!!

I like Frosta, I did get to watch She-Ra back in the day and always saw her more of a warrior with much cooler (pun intended) powers than the others like Mermista or Perfuma. Let's see how well they make her here with the changes that should be made to make her better than before. The only other PoP femme I'm really looking forward to is Castaspella.

The odd thing is the bird was technically copyrighted for the MOTUC line and then used as a generic transformation with both Beast Boy and the Wonder Twins. There's no copyright problems from DC's side there; I think it was more of an attitude of "DC figures are to have newly tooled pieces, not retreads from other lines." It would go along with what we've seen of DC being a bit full of themselves of late, even though Marvel is kicking their tails in both the theaters and the toy aisles...

The it was told to me by someone in the know was the opposite. Mattel legal was the one who did not want the tooling shared between their in-house owned line and a licensed line.

She has great taste, she wants He-Man, Spector is forcing himself on her, just like he's forced himself on us.

see how she's trying to back away but he's holding on tight...he's about to get clobbered with her staff though.
