Frosta in MOTUC Discussion thread

In regards to the Frosta design, I just want to clarify:

I don't think POP fans are too picky. We get only a few of these figures every year and when we get one we really want it done right.

As for Frosta, I think the figure is a borderline mess. But it is useless to fuss over details when the figure is coming out a specific way. My most wanted figure of classics was Queen Marlena and I looked past what I couldn't change and just enjoyed the character getting inclusion.

I still love Frosta and will be buying more than the two my subs are covering. Getting Netossa in January will be really nice, too.

Fingers crossed for a POP reveal in Quarter 2, 2013!!!!

 Also uses ‘White’ so we can safely assume will be Gray
 No detail painted on Bracers
 Disembodied head fins
and she isnt even shown past Proto yet......anyone else expecting the worst?


Next POP figure......who knows....but its not looking good for fans of POP,Filmation or vintage toys.....so...why did we get subs...I forget?

Her hair is actually made of a pretty soft plastic so if you are having flashbacks to the Goddess situation, I don't think this will be an issue.

In a world where right = left, I guess white can = gray.

But I don't like it. Frosta should be wearing white. Mattel was told that over and over and over again and they basically said, "Screw you. We'll do what we want." It would be mind boggling except for the fact that Mattel does this over and over and over again. I decided that Spikor was my last figure and Frosta and DB Skeletor were my biggest temptations to go against my decision. But now, I'm not so torn about it. So how will Skelly be jacked up? Rusty chains?

Marvelous one fixed Frosta's eyes and mouth. My friend from Shadow Weavers Realm changed the colour of her hair and her lip colour to that of the vintage Frosta figure. She looks so much better now IMO.

Sometimes it certainly seems as if someone with the maturity/intellect of Cartman is making the decisions in this line.

A couple people might quit now, but I doubt many will. There have been so many instances of these shenanigans in the past that it's hard to see how this one in particular would push people over the edge. It's just business as usual in MOTUC. If you are still collecting this line, you have probably come to accept and expect this. Not that you're happy about it, but the joys of the figure outweigh these regular, expected, predictable mess-ups and lack of commitment to fix them.

My biggest hope is that someone can make custom heads based on Eamon's re-touch...

How does that illustrate your thoughts on the sculpt though? It's the same sculpt. The only difference is the paint.

yes, the Eamon re-make changed the shape of the face, but the GIF above doesn't... it just adjusts, quite beautifully, the paint.
